Ways to Promote Your Website and Build Massive Visitor Traffic!

Ways to Promote Your Website and Build Massive Visitor Traffic!

1) YOUTUBE VIDEOS: If you've been to youtube.com you've seen tons of videos which incorporate a website address that is advertised in the video. This is another great way to advertise to tons of people for free. Also there are a ton of copycat youtube websites. You can find and post your video ads to all of them. Be sure to read the sites rules before posting. They don't allow commercial solicitation in most cases. Your video has to be one with generic content and value. Then what you can do is include a small ad in your video, such as displaying your website address on the video. That way people will see the web address and likely visit it.

Example: This man made this video in about 10 minutes and put it on Youtube. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=60og9gwKh1o&feature=related
In time as it starts to get indexed on other websites it may start to get more activity. I found that's typically what happens as your video gets embedded, indexed and shared, gradually the views begin to exponentially increase. Notice how at the end it gives the user the option to embed the video on their own website.

To get an idea of how powerful this is take a look at how many view this video has in just a month: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=EwnlRATD3Jk&feature=related
Imagine all those people viewing your link and some of them visiting your website.

2) FACEBOOK: Facebook.com has a marketplace which is a classified ad section that can be advertised in. They also have what’s called “Facebook Fliers and Fliers Pro” which is a form of pay per click advertising they offer for very low prices compared to other PPC advertising channels. I've used Fliers Pro with great success, extremely affordable PPC and highly targeted.

3) MYSPACE: Myspace has a marketplace which is a classified ad section that can be advertised in for free. http://classifieds.myspace.com

4) SOCIAL NETWORKS: Social network sites such as: myspace, facebook, friendster, Xanga, MSN groups, Blogger, TypePad are just a few of the hundreds of social networks that are out there. You can create a profile, blog, home page, etc, and add your main websites info and link back to your main page. Also many of these social networks offer free classified ad sections that you can advertise in as well as other forms of advertising.
Example: Made this blog in about 10 minutes, added the youtube video to it, and also added a few links to this site: http://VemmaHealthandWealth.Blogspot.com

5) KIJIJI: http://www.kijiji.com is another free popular classified ad site that targets major cities across north America. They get tons of traffic and are a great place to post ads about your site. Example: Made this ad in about 5 minutes, added it to Kijiji.com

6) EXPIRED DOMAIN NAMES: often someone else has already registered the good domain names. However, many of the domains that have already been registered end up being unsuccessful ventures for the previous owner. They have some traffic going to the site; often as high as several hundred visitors per day. However, the previous owner has moved on to other things, or for various reasons they let the domain name expire.

These are domains you might want to consider purchasing as often they already have many links on the net pointing to them and are generating potentially hundreds of daily visitors. And because the domain name has expired you can purchase these domain names for extremely reasonable prices. Much less expensive that full acquisitions of a website. You can search for expired domain names at websites such as: www.sitepoint.com , www.sedo.com , www.buysellwebsite.com , www.websitebroker.com

7) PAY PER CLICK ADVERTISING: Pay Per Click (PPC) Advertising is a type of online advertising in which advertisers (i.e. you) pay for visitors on a Cost Per Click (CPC) basis. That is, advertisers only pay when a Web searcher actually clicks on a link and visits their Web site. PPC advertising is different than "traditional" online advertising, where advertisers pay according to how many times their ad is displayed.

With Pay Per Click Adverting, an ad can be displayed many times, but the advertiser pays nothing unless a Web searcher actually clicks on the ad. When done correctly, PPC Advertising can produce highly targeted traffic -- the most sought-after and valuable entity on the Web.Call it the evolution of the "traditional" search engine. Pay Per Click Search Engines allow advertisers to sign up and bid on specific keywords -- keywords that are relevant to the particular products and/or services available on their Web site. Advertisers bid for priority location in the search results of these relevant keywords. The order in which listings for a particular keyword are displayed is determined by the amount of these bids.

Depending on the specific PPC Search Engine and also on the demand for a specific keyword, the CPC for that specific keyword can be as little as $0.01 or as much as a few dollars. When a Web searcher types in that keyword, that advertiser's listing will be ranked according to the amount bided, compared with all other bids on that keyword. But regardless of how many times the listing appears, that advertiser only pays when a searcher actually clicks on their listing and visits their Web site.

The most popular PPC Search Engines are (2008):

Google Ad Words – http://adwords.Google.com

Yahoo Search Marketing – http://searchmarketing.yahoo.com

These two entitles dominate the PPC market. They feed the majority of the largest search engines online which include: Google, Yahoo, MSN, Lycos, Hotbot and thousands more. They are also the most reputable, giving you real value for your advertising dollar, and real visitors to your site. As mentioned before, you also might want to try: Facebook Flyers Pro – http://www.facebook.com/ads

8) WIKIPEDIA (edits): Wikipedia is the worlds largest online encyclopedia. The beauty of it is that you can go into it, do a search for any keyword relating to your product or service, which will bring up Wikipedia entries on that topic. You can then go in and edit those entries. I wouldn't do anything to drastic to a page, because they'll simply exclude you. But rather just go to the bottom where it says "external links" and add your site there. They also do not allow commercialized sites on that. So if you want to make sure you're ad remains in the "external links" section of a Wiki then you need to have it linking to a doorway page of your site which just provides generalized content about the topic of the Wiki.

So if the topic of the Wiki is "starbucks" and you sell starbucks coffee mugs, then go in and create a doorway page talking about some generalized info on starbucks and or starbucks coffee mugs. Then add subtle links off the doorway page leading off to your main page. i.e.: "brought to you by "coffee mugs r us" (and link it to the main page). And continue to add your site under all the keywords (wiki entries) you can find.

You can even create your own original Wiki-entry if it's not already on there. Wiki entries often appear at the top of Google searches as well so if you have your site linked up on those pages you're bound to get free traffic. This has go to be one of the very best ways to get free traffic I can think of. Also there are many copycat wikipedia's and wiki's you can find, edit, and add your ads to.

I might not disclose where, but I added some content to this existing Wiki and also added my link to this page. You can do this on almost any page on Wikipedia.org

9) CRAIGSLIST.ORG ONLINE CLASSIFIEDS: This site is worth mentioning simply because of the advertising value it represents. It was ranked 66th most popular site in the world according to Alexa.com (2008). It allows anyone to post free classified ads to it. So it's a great source of additional free traffic. And with that many visitors going there, it's bound to generate some free traffic. Example: Made this ad in about 5 minutes, added it to craigslist.org

10) DMOZ.ORG DIRECTOR: This site is worth mentioning simply because of the advertising value it represents. It was ranked 953rd most popular site in the world according to Alexa.com (2008). It allows anyone to post website listings to this massive directory. So it’s a great source of additional free traffic. With the massive amounts of visitor traffic it receives, it’s also bound to generate some free hits for you.

Example: Added my site to the directory under the appropriate category. It may take a while to be listed though. And that's how some of these directories are. You submit the ad and then you basically wait to see if they list you. But if they do it can be well worth the two minutes it took to submit it.

I hope you're enjoying my secret war chest of internet marketing weaponry. I actually used these tactics on several very successful websites I own. But I thought it was way past due to give something back to others who are just starting their internet businesses. So just wanted to mention a few things then the rest of the ideas you can get full access to below.
When people ask me what website promotional strategy works best to develop large amounts of traffic to their sites. The answer that comes to mind is quit simple….”all of them”. I say that simply because the best results come when you have a variety of sources that you’re able to tap into. Working in combination these sources form the large amounts of visitor traffic you want.
Also, just to let you know when I started advertising years ago, I had literally "no money" for an advertising budget. So I had to come up with tons and tons of free (or "ultra cheap") ways to get my ads out there and attract visitors. So most of my strategies are 100% free. They're NOT ideas you'll have to pay for. The only "paid" ideas I mention are worth their salt (such as PPC Advertising or buying expired domain names) but most of my ideas you can use at no cost.
So what if you could add 1000 new visitors per day to your website? Would that make you more money?...You bet it would! For some of you that would amount of thousands upon thousands of dollars each month. We'll I'm going to show you how to get that many visitors and more, 100% guaranteed!
