A Review Of ViralURL.Com And Bonuses

So you have finally stepped into the world of making money online. You too, like the others, have decided to start with the affiliate programs. Also, you must have heard that it’s not a big deal to make good money with affiliate marketing, provided you choose the right programs and do some strategic planning while promoting your affiliate products. So far so good.

Whether you are promoting other people’s products or promoting your own products - that doesn’t matter because after all it is nothing but your own business and your means to earn good money.

So whichever be your case, I am sure you would not want to leave money on the table and invite others to steal your share of profit.

Even though the industry of affiliate marketing is pretty competitive but if you are cautious and are strategic in your marketing techniques then, it could be very profitable for you.

Take a close look at the industry, you will see that not every one who gets into affiliate marketing is successful. People who are doing well leave no room for failure and take all security measures and understand its importance.

Yes! Security is one of the key factors in affiliate marketing. If you do not adopt proper security measures, then your business will be at high risk. One of the most important way to restore security is to protect your affiliate links. Do not take them for granted. A bit of carelessness on your part in regards to affiliate links may cost you a lot of dollars.

Do you know the long complicated links that you send to your prospective customers not only look convoluted but they can create a lot of problems too! If you send such an affiliate link to your customers, then the smart ones will definitely figure out that you are promoting someone else’s product and they would rather visit the parent company.

Also, if your link does not function then your customers have to type a really long URL into the browser, which will definitely put him or her off.

You could be a victim of even a worse situation. What if some devious Internet pirates steal your affiliate links and replace them with theirs. If they do that, then you get no commission at all.

Did I scare you off with all of the above possibilities? Well, that certainly wasn’t my intention. I just wanted to open your eyes and state facts that actually happen in the world of Internet. It happened with me until I came across ViralURL , that brought a revolution to my online ventures.

So, if you are not getting the desired results out of your affiliate marketing, don’t lose hope. There’s definitely a remedy to this problem and that is ViralURL.com

Do I hear you asking, what is it and how can it help in averting any adverse situation for an affiliate marketer like me?Be patient and read on, if you love your business.

ViralURL is a link cloaker that protects you in the truest sense. There may be many unethical people lurking around, who might play with your affiliate links by cutting them off or replacing them with their own etc. How much effort you put in towards building your business and advertising your business, if your links are tampered with, then all your hard work will be rendered useless.

In order to avoid such a rip off, ViralURL gives you full protection and sees to it that your affiliate links never get exposed to others.

So save yourself from getting ripped. Get all the commissions to your account that you rightfully deserve. All this is made possible by ViralURL.com

It is a blessing for every affiliate marketer like you and me, who wants to achieve success in their endeavor.

Is ViralURL limited to only link protection?

*ViralURL helps us in protecting commission.

*ViralURL helps in building mailing lists.

You can get all detailed information about the program from the site ViralURL.com . There, you can find several unsolicited testimonials from various users of ViralURL.

So Do You Want To Be Rich Or Are You Just Dreaming?

In his book, Secrets of the Millionaire Mind, T. Harv Eker says there are three levels of so-called wanting. The first level is "I want to be rich." He says that's just another way of saying "I'll take It if it falls in my lap". In other words, "It would be really nice if I was rich, but I'm not willing to do anything about it." Therefore, wanting alone is useless.

The second level of wanting is "I choose to be rich." This is more powerful and it entails making a decision to be rich. It involves being responsible for the outcome and for making it happen. Choosing is better than just wanting but there is still a better level.

This level is the third level of wanting which is "I commit to being rich." And I'll just let Mr. Eker explain it.

"The definition of the word commit is "to devote oneself unreservedly." This means holding absolutely nothing back; giving 100 percent of everything you've got to achieving wealth. It means being willing to do whatever it takes for as long as it takes. This is the warrior's way. No excuses, no ifs, no buts, no maybes - and failure is not an option. The warrior's way is simple: "I will be rich or I will die trying."

I can honestly say that there was a time in my life that I was stuck at the first level. And then sometime after starting my first business I moved to level two. You see, jumping from level 1 to level 2 only takes an instant. It only takes that moment of decision.

However, moving to level three, I believe, takes a little bit longer. At least it did for me. See, you can't make a commitment, or you can't prove that you've committed until your decision is tested by adversity. That's when you know that you have committed. When you endure challenges that test you, yet you still keep getting up, dusting yourself off and taking action in spite of them. It's when you can say, "Do or die. Now or never."

And, by the way, this doesn't just apply to being rich. How many people do you know that say "I want to be thin" or "I want to be lose weight"? Probably lots. Most people will always be stuck at level 1. Just merely wanting but never having because they won't commit to doing whatever it takes.

So the question you have to answer today is, "What level am I at?"

Are you willing to work a full-time job, come home and then work relentlessly on your business?

Are you willing to give up weekends, recreations, and hobbies?

Are you willing to sacrifice some family time, and even leave friends who are dragging you down?

Are you willing to risk money and time without any guarantees of return?

Are you willing to take responsibility for your own success?

Are YOU committed?

Because you want to know something, if you're not, I'll bet you either work for or are following someone who is.

5 Mistakes Biz Owners Make with Their Marketing

by Michele PW
Wondering why your marketing isn't working all that well? Never fear, help is here.

Fortunately (or unfortunately, depending on how you look at it) many marketing challenges can be traced back to a handful of marketing mistakes.

Today, I'll talk about the top 5 marketing mistakes business owners make.

1. Too broad a target market (who you're selling your product or service to).
If I ask you who your customer is and you answer "anyone with a pulse," then I'm talking to you. Even if your product or service CAN help just about anyone on the planet, not everyone is going to buy it. They don't have the money or the interest or whatever. And when you try and target everyone, you really end up targeting no one.

The way to start making money (not to mention getting better results with your marketing) is to narrow your target market so you're only talking to one specific group. However, there are pitfalls with that as well, as we see in the next mistake.

2. The wrong target market.
This happens when you've chosen the wrong target market. What do I mean by wrong target market? They either aren't interested in buying your product or service or they don't have the money.

Let's look at the first one, lack of interest. What happens here is the word "need" is misused. "I know my target market needs this, therefore they'll buy it." Not so. This happens a lot with people in the health and wellness field and it typically goes something like this.

You are passionate about teaching yoga and you want to reach committed couch potatoes. Do committed couch potatoes need to be doing yoga? No question. Do they want to be doing yoga? Probably not or they wouldn't be committed couch potatoes.

So let's look at the second one, lack of funds. This happens when you're going after a customer base that desperately wants what you're selling but can't afford it.

For instance, a high-end spa targeting low-income single mothers. Would this target market adore the stress relieving benefits of a day at a spa? No doubt. Can they afford it? Probably not. Now, that example is obvious, but it's not always so cut and dried.

Especially with service professionals. Business and life coaches for instance. They're so passionate about what they do and they want to see people succeed; they go after a target market that may really want and need their services, but they can't afford them. So these coaches lower their fees or coach for free or trade out (even if they aren't interested in the trade) or something else that isn't terribly helpful to their own business success.

Bottom line -- make sure you choose a target market that not only can afford your product or service but also wants it. (Desperate for it is better yet.)

3. Looking for your target market in all the wrong places.
This is a situation where "build it and they will come" doesn't work. Once you know who your target market is, you need to go to them. And you shouldn't waste your time in places where you won't find them. Let's say your target market is Fortune 500 companies.

Is hobnobbing at your local Chamber of Commerce going to pay off for you? Probably not. But buying a targeted list and putting together a direct mail campaign? Much better idea. Or, for instance, a friend of mine just realized a new niche target market she was going after doesn't spend much time online.

And, you guessed it, she does most of her marketing online. So, she either has to change her niche market or change how she markets to them. Once you've selected a viable target market, make sure you're putting your marketing time and dollars into places where they hang out.

4. Not a compelling message.
Okay, you know you've got a good target market and you know how to reach them. But you're still not getting any results. Now the problem might be your message. People have a lot of choices on where to spend their money. You have to give them a very compelling reason why they should spend their hard earned money with you.

Here's where it makes sense to brush up on your copywriting skills (writing promotional copy) or hire someone to write your copy for you.

5. Not getting in front of your target market often enough.
So you've run one ad. Or mailed one postcard. Or attended one networking event. And the work isn't pouring in the door.

Hmmm... It's a sad fact that you need to consistently get in front of your target market time and time again. Unfortunately, for the most part, your target market won't wake up and say "Gee, I have to give so-and-so some money today" without some encouragement on your part.

Remember, it's not your target market's job to remember you. It's your job to remind them you're here and would love to have their business.

Every Magnetic Leader Has READ THIS

By David Schwind

If you haven't read this, you should be ASHAMED of yourself.

I'm serious, you should know this... and if you don't, it's ok... you can redeem yourself by reading this entire article...

So last week... I was at a Texas airport, drinking my Mocha, getting ready to fly back to California, when I purchased a small book before boarding my plane called "Minute Motivators For Leaders".

Now the information wasn't really anything new, but it was fun and inspiring. It did however, remind me of something I know to be true from psychological studies...

There are 3 Major ways to motivate people... 2 of which, I've already talked about in previous articles which were "flattery" and "inspiration". I've talked about ways to implement those methods in your ads for maximum response.

The third one is a bit different though, but VERY facinating, and VERY powerful.

It should not be taken lightly... and that's "guilt".

Primarily guilt by association... or lack there of.
Let me explain...

(This is what every Magnetic Leader knows or has read...)
"Every one of us wants to work with and learn from the best."

And there is some "extended- truth" to that statement... Everyone, including you, also wants to be "associated" with the best.

That's what put you RIGHT HERE reading these very words! ...Whether you realize it or not.

But it's true...

We ALL want to belong, even you and me. We all want to be apart of the "insiders circle". We want to learn, know and "do" as the leaders do. And most of all... we want to be recognized as a part of it.

This recognition will stem from our "association", which is where we sub-consiously know our recognition is going to be awarded.

So in essence, our association is where our motivation lies. All people want to be associated with the "supreme" of their industry.

It's instictive.

Now the funny thing is it's this "instinctiveness" that compelled you to click on this article, and it's the "guilt factor" that caused you to begin reading it.

But the funnier thing is how I did it.

I simply removed "you" from the "insiders circle". I removed you from the "group of leaders". Not litterally, but with my title, I removed your "association" and you sub-consiously didn't like it!

You needed to "re-engage."
To simplify... I used "guilt and association" to force you into reading this article. And it was for a good cause... as to teach you... I have to demonstrate first hand.
I hope you're not mad. ;)

Let me show you exactly what I mean... and why this worked on you...

1.) The title contains a blatant embedded command designed to catch the "searching eye"... "READ THIS". See it at the end of the title? It's even SHOUTING in all CAPS! But it still appears subtle.

2.) "Every Magnetic Leader Has READ THIS". - This implies that "magnetic leaders" know something you may not, and if you belong to their group, then you MUST READ it too! It also might make you "uncomfortable" feeling possibly 'out of the loop' if you consider yourself to be a 'magnetic leader'.

See how I sparked your animosity? Neat ay?
So when writing your ads, remember association and/or guilt can be VERY POWERFUL motivators to get prospects attention!

After all... it worked on YOU! ;)
Just be sure to use it in a positive context ...or you will be banned from the "circle of leaders". ;)
Well, I hope you found this article delightful, that's it for today!

Think up some ways to use "guilt/associatoin" in your own ads and go spin some heads!
Goodluck! :)
…………………………………………………………………………………………
Now read and learn from some of the responses to this post:

Great Work!
Hey,nicely done.
I have experienced first hand that guilt association as a matter of empowering people to take action is more powerful then to just motivate.

I have realized like two years ago that motivating people is great, but some just dont get it.That is why I make fun of it now and I tell everyone that I do not motivate people. I irritate them - in a sense of a guilt association.

figured that if I just "motivate people" they all get hyped up, are ready to tear their business apart and at the end nothing was done.

When I "irritate" them with guilt - you see how that bothers them. And believe me they either fix it ASAP.

Anyway, it's nice to see good thinking leaders in this community.

All the best,
Brett ;)

You hit right smack on target!
I have this constant burning question on my mind: "How do i motivate my downlines to do what I am doing?" I have been asking them about their goals and objectives and to plan around that.

I will use your suggestion and up a notch in my approach. Thanks!

Power up Your Profits by Packing Your Email Marketing With More Punch

Without further ado, Here's...

Lesson #3: Capitalize on Your Captures!

One of the underlying benefits of smart autoresponders and particularly GetResponse is that you can use your autoresponder for mailing list management. It's like putting permission marketing into overdrive! In other words, you can use it to build a database of opt-in email addresses for publishing an ezine, delivering courses or making announcements...

Including special backend offers! Smart autoresponders allow you to promote to a growing base of email addresses that you establish over time. But before starting the process, you need to start capturing emails!

The Dynamics of Lead Generation

Traditional ways of lead generation is a costly endeavor.

For example, if you were to use direct mail to scoop up prospects, you have to pay for the "3 P's" of direct mail...

Printing, Paper And postage. And that's a bare minimum, because it doesn't account for the list you must either rent or buy, the labels you must peal and stick, and the time it takes to stuff it all into envelopes.

Plus, they may or may not be targeted! If you want to find quality leads, first you do a blind mailing (even though you may think the audience is targeted, they're only suspects at this point... Not prospects!).

Then, once they come forward and ask for more information, the mailing process repeats itself! So, chasing down quality leads can become agonizingly slow and expensive! The Internet changes all that! Unlike the "3 P's" of direct mail, email has "3 F's."

In other words, delivery of email is free, fast and focused. Why did I say "focused?" Here's what I mean... With permission marketing and NOT spam (i.e., where people opt in and voluntarily come forward to ask for your information FIRST before you mail them), email is highly targeted! Your email is focused on the customer from the get "go!"

How to Start Capturing Email Addresses...

Offline, buying leads or labels is a blind attempt at "hitting the target." But with GetResponse you are creating your own list of "hot" prospects to email to over and over again! Developing an opt-in list is done by compiling email addresses of recipients that have given you permission to email them with information that pertains to what they opted for. People subscribing not only get an instant reply or a series of follow-ups thereafter, but they can also get, say, newsletter issues, product announcements, special offers and so on.

Building a quality, "targeted" list of prospects is the most important thing you can do for your business. How many times have you let your visitors slip away, never to return? The best way to generate repeat visitors to your site is to ask (and capture) their email addresses. The easiest way is by offering an opt-in subscription to some kind of publication. At minimum, you should publish a periodic email newsletter to inform visitors of new product updates or website changes.

Nevertheless, you must build your opt-in list right away, and do whatever you can to capture people's email addresses and their permission to email them... And avoid SPAM! Why is it so important? Realize that the money is not in the one-time sale (as it is with spam) but in the lifetime value of a customer. People who buy can do so again and again... If you keep them informed, interested and persuaded!

Several of the following techniques may seem obvious to you, but sometimes they are overlooked. My advice to you is to use them all or as many as you can to build your lists! First, remember that your autoresponder's database may be comprised of several types of people.

For example, it may include one or several opt-in lists consisting of... Current and new customers; Prospects (people asking for more information); Subscribers (to a newsletter, for example); And other people's customers. Let's take a quick at each one. Shall we?

1. Customers

Unless your business is completely new, you probably have a list of customers right now. Your customers' names and email addresses will create the first and best list you will ever own. Once they buy from you, their defenses are down. A trust has been built and a relationship has been established. Current customers are poised to buying from you again in the future. Never abandon your "existing" customer base! You spent money, time and energy on acquiring these new customers... But if you try to sell them again, those expenses are virtually non-existent! Acquisition costs are near ZERO!

If you don't have the email addresses of your customers, then you need to start compiling them. First, you should ask all your new customers' email addresses from this point on. With your current customers, try to collect email addresses as much as you can.

For instance, next time you send a mailer or flyer, offer something for free if they respond by email! A contest or draw, A survey or poll, An electronic book (or "ebook"), A email-only discount, A gift certificate, A free report, A new unreleased product, A free email newsletter, A special offer, An open house, An affiliate program, Etc, etc, etc. Whatever it takes!

And with GetResponse you can also collect all types of information, like first names, last names, addresses, etc, which you can add to your emails! There's a lot of power in personalization! Then start "monetizing" your opt-in list!

For example, make backend offers, joint venture offers, even endorsed offers (such as with a product you are an affiliate with) and so on!

2. Prospects

From now on, you should start compiling the email addresses of your "hot" prospects, too! If they want more information, they're identifying themselves as interested and motivated! Your eager prospects received not only an instant reply with the information they asked for and a series of follow-ups, but they, too, should be placed into an opt-in list.

Remember, these prospects may not buy after the first or even the seventh exposure. And the possible reasons are many... Such as no interest, no time, no money, etc. (Or they just found a more appropriate offer elsewhere.) But these now "warm" prospects may be in a better position to buy in the future, or may be interested in something else you offer. Or they may become great referral sources!

In fact, whether they are interested or not, or they ask for more information or not, they should also become...

3. Subscribers

In addition to your customers, non-customers and prospects, you can also start building a list of opt-in subscribers! They can join your list in return for getting something free... But if you don't, your visitors are slipping away!

For instance, place a form on your website or an email link pointing to your autoresponder, offering visitors to subscribe to your mailing list. In return, offer them something for free. It might be a free report, an email newsletter (or "ezine"), an extra discount, a coupon, a course (with lessons delivered incrementally, like this one!) and so on... Anything free!

Visitors may not buy from you the first time. They may even be targeted, eager and interested in your offering, but fail to buy because of a lack of time, funds, trust or information! You spent all that money and effort in getting them to visit your website in the first place... Why not capitalize on your investment and get the most "mileage" out of your visitors?

If you DON'T try to capture your visitors' emails while they're at your website, you will lose these prospects forever. You want to keep them coming back or stay in touch with them! (By the way, once you sign up for a GetResponse account, it comes with tons of tutorials on how to easily create your forms and build your opt-in lists.)

Once you collect email addresses from your autoresponder, add them to your prospect list and send them updates, news and, of course, product offers. Your list is your goldmine!

3. Other People's Customers

Let's say you don't have a customer list, a prospect list or a subscriber list. What do you do? Of course, common sense tells you that you must start collecting those right away. BUT, if you want to start building a list quickly, here's one technique that works. Basically, what you do is piggy-back on other people's lists through setting up joint ventures.

First, find an established business by that I mean one with an established opt-in email list of their own that sells a non-competing yet related product or service to yours. Here's an example: if you sell used cars, you might want to find and team up with, say, a car insurance company, a car parts dealer, or a car accessories distributor or whatever.

For example, you may offer an exclusive commission for any cars sold to their lists, or you may offer a free report exclusively to their subscribers, prospects or customers.

The Time to Start is Right NOW!

I urge to start building your opt-in list right now. Do it with your GetResponse PRO because it has the potential to increase your sales by 400%!

If you're unsure yet, no worries! You can still give it a test run by signing up for your feature-limited, FREE account! "Power up your follow-up" right now! See... GetResponse.Com

How To Get Successful Results With Traffic Exchanges

How to Be Successful With Traffic Exchanges

Traffic Exchanges are the online programs where you either exchange your time or your money for traffic.

These programs are often looked down on.

Probably because spending your time surfing websites with all kind of offers isn’t the most exciting way to pass the time.

There are other ways to generate traffic and if you’re good at one or more of them, you don’t use TE’s.

But lots of people don’t know any better way, so they turn to these programs. Also, it’s often a matter of (lack of) money that people are using them. All they have is time and they change it for traffic, just by surfing.

It’s a matter of personal preference, I guess.Personally I prefer other ways to generate traffic although I use some TE programs. But lots of people like these exchange programs and are using them successfully. And if they don’t want to surf all day, they just buy credits to send visitors over to their offers, be it splash or squeeze pages.

Whatever the reason to use traffic exchanges, you’ll always need to test and track so to make sure that you get a decent return on your investment (ROI).

Apart from the discussion that these TE’s don’t work (they do if you only know the three (3) rules), some of the typical questions from those who want to try them are:

what are the best traffic exchanges (where do you get the highest ROI),

how long do you need to surf for traffic or should you buy credits,

how to set up a campaign (huge vs small, all at once vs spreading in time) so that you can optimize your splash and squeeze pages,

is there a strategic plan to use TE’s to your advantage
(other than startup a tabbed browser, join as many exchanges as you can find (and then some) and surf them as fast as humanly possible),

how important is it to be able to contact your traffic exchange downlines?

If only you would know how experts do this.

If you only know the three (3) rules to be successful. If only you could get your hands on a plan designed by someone who is very successful with Traffic Exchanges.

Well….

You can.

Confidential Google Report Disclosed

If you've been involved in SEO (search engine optimization) for a while, you may remember the time when you could create a web page and get it ranked at the top of any search engine with little effort.

All you had to do was load up the page with the keywords you wanted to rank high for, make sure your meta tags were stuffed with those same keywords, submit the page and within a few days or weeks you've captured a top 20 or even top 10 result.

The major search engines were pretty easy to figure out. Some focused on the first 90 characters on a page, others gave more weight to the title tag in your HTML, another paid more attention to the overall content and finally some used a combination of factors to determine a page's rank.

If you were a search engine expert, you knew what each search engine looked for and it was pretty easy to optimize your site for a top 10 rank.

Back then, you didn't get penalized much for keyword stuffing, hidden text, and some of the other tactics that can get you into trouble in today's world.

The bottom line is search engine optimization for the average webmaster was almost like a cakewalk years ago.

That was then. This is now.

Times have certainly changed! Those same methods described above will not only hurt your rank, they can even get your banned from the engine permanently.

There are no shortcuts to search engine success anymore. You have to work it. All those lazy webmasters who steal other people's content or use the tricks mentioned above are now discovering that the search engines mean business.

Confidential Google Report Disclosed

In early 2006, a Google employee broke a non-disclosure agreement and revealed a report that shouldn't have gotten out to the public. Actually the information wasn't surprising by any means.
In a nutshell, all we learned is that Google is cracking down on spam and sites that offer little content - a.k.a. "thin affiliates".

A thin affiliate is one that offers very little information and the main purpose of their site is to send visitors to the affiliated merchant's site in order to collect a commission.

Often times these sites have more external links than they do actual content. They also may contain several doorway pages (more on those later) that do nothing but link to the merchant's website.
The report even revealed examples of live sites that Google considers "suspect."

Trust me...this is NOT a place you'd want to see your site appear. You can bet these sites won't be getting much traffic from Google anytime soon.

This report seemed to indicate that Google has hired humans to evaluate the accuracy of Google's search results. Can you blame them?

Google has always said their main focus is to provide relevant results. The main reason the engine has been so successful is because it gives searchers what they want.

If you've noticed, you don't see lots of ads, banners and other distracting revenue-sucking techniques on their pages. They want their customer, Joe Surfer, to find what he is looking for.
They don't want their index to be turned into a hodge-podge of doorway pages made by those thin affiliates. They want unique quality content that offers valuable information to their customer - the web surfer.

Search engine spiders are not humans. They are programs. They can only do so much when it comes to weeding out the good and bad sites. It only makes sense to me that Google would help protect its reputation by hiring real people to ensure their results are as clean as possible.

Without going into detail over the report (I wouldn't want Google to penalize me!), I've just outlined a few of the topics that were touched upon. You probably won't be shocked by what you read.
In fact, none of this may be new to you. But if you are performing any of these techniques, stop now!

SEO Techniques to Avoid

Useless Link Exchanges
It used to be you could go scout out other websites that were related to yours and swap links to help boost your link popularity. These days the search engines are frowning on certain link exchange strategies.

The best kind of link exchange is one that offers a contextual link to both parties. So instead of creating a "page-o-links" that no one will even read, offer your potential link partner a contextual link in an article that is related to their site. Ask your partner to do the same for you. The search engines will see this link as a much better quality link than a link from a page chuck-full of other sites.

Let's say you have a website on dieting. Instead of creating a "list-o-links" page titled "Other Diet Resources" where you list 300 different partner links, write some diet-related articles and recommend a few of your link partner's sites within the context of the article.

I'm not saying avoid link directories altogether. There are some good ones like Yahoo, JoeAnt and The Open Directory to name a few. None of these directories require a link back to them and they all have a pretty high PageRank.

Doorway Pages
Doorway pages are small, keyword focused pages that mainly serve the purpose of getting the visitor to your affiliated web site. They usually offer no value to the website as a whole, and often times they are cluttered with several different affiliate links.

Google is smart and can scope those kinds of pages out. You may be penalized if it finds these on your site.

Hidden or Tiny Text
This is an OLD tactic and it amazes me people still use this.
Using white text on a white background or making your text so small it is hardly visible to the human eye is one of the oldest search engine tricks in the book.

Many people would use this technique to hide tons of keyword phrases they wanted to rank high for by hiding the text at the very bottom or top of the page and make it match the background color so they are invisible. Others would use a tiny font to add these keywords in various places all over the site. The human eye may have a difficult time finding them but the search engine spiders would.

So as you can see, the above info is not shocking by any stretch of the imagination. Those are all very bad optimization practices and will never work for the long run. You may get lucky here and there but the engines will eventually find you and penalize you for it.

Too Much Duplicate Content
It's OK to use some of the article directories (ArticleCity.com or EzineArticles.com) and reprint some of their content. That's what they're there for and they are useful if you want to add information on a topic you may not be well versed in.

However, if 90% of your site is from these sites or if you are illegally using copyrighted material without a webmaster's permission then you deserve any penalty that Google gives you.

Google loves relevant, unique content. After all, it's what drives their success. They don't want the same articles showing up in the results so they pay close attention to duplicates.

If you don't like to write, try hiring a copyrighter to do the writing for you. Trust me, it will be worth it in the long run.

What You Should Be Focusing On...
Unique content rules. Don't get stressed out about your meta tags, link lists, number of backlinks (sites that link to you), etc.

If you want the search engines to love you, build a website with lots of unique content, get a couple of high-quality sites to link back to you (Yahoo, The Open Directory, etc.) and develop a good link exchange program (described above).

That's it! Keep building content and make your site as useful as possible. Pretty soon people will link to you voluntarily and your link popularity will begin to increase.

Write for humans, not the search engine spiders. Forget about keyword density (the ratio of a keyword phrase to total body content), just write for real people. After all, Google is starting to use humans to review sites anyway!

Bottom line: Don't take shortcuts. Be ethical and work hard to build the best site you can. You'll be rewarded in the end.

"Make Your Links Work"
My mentor, Ken Evoy wrote a valuable book on how to make the search engines love your site. It's an excellent piece and it goes into detail about how SEO is coming to an end.

Using Forum Signatures

Time to analyze another traffic generation strategy:
using forum signatures.

The concept:
Online forums are as old as the Internet, and despite being around for a long time, they are still a popular destination for Internet users that want to get specific questions answered, find solutions for their problems, or simply to socialize with other people that are interested on a specific topic.

Most of these forums also allow their members to create a custom signature containing hyperlinks, that will appear at the bottom of each of their posts. Now if you consider that some popular forums get hundreds of thousands of visits every day, you can see how a catchy link below your posts could end up sending some traffic to your website.

Does it work?:
Yes if your blog is new or has a small audience. The traffic won’t be huge, but it will be real.

Provided that you hand pick the forums where you will participate and use signature links, this traffic might also be very targeted.

When I started Free Website Traffic I was pretty active on Home Business Forums under the username of shop4dreams
, one of the most popular online forums for growing a MLM or home business. I remember that my signature links would send 20 to 30 unique visitors every day to the blog. Not an impressive number, but every little bit helps when you are starting out (plus there is some SEO value on the links as well).

How to get started: Head to Big-Boards.com, a site that lists the largest online forums divided by topic, and select some that are large, active and relevant to your niche.

Register an account on these forums and start participating on the community. Remember that you need first to give before you get something in return. This means that you should contribute to the conversation and add value where possible, and not just spam posts around. This should be easy after all, because I suppose you would have endless things to say on your niche.

Aim to write a minimum number of posts daily, and make sure to give your opinion on the hottest threads around as well (because they will receive/send more traffic).

Over the time, as the number of posts that you have on the forum increases, you will start to see some traffic flowing from your signature links.

Over to the readers:

Have you used forum signature links to generate traffic to your blog or website?
Has it worked?
Do you think this method is worth the time you need to spend on it?

Please post your comments below.

Blog Project: 30 Traffic Generation Tips Contest Results

Daily Blog Tips ran a contest asking their readers to submit Free Website Traffic Generation Tips and these are the results. The links on each contributors' name takes you to more traffic generating tips.

First of all a big “thank you”for every one who participated. As I said before the number of entries surprised me (and the quality as well, I will definitely apply some of those tips myself).

Now, without further delay,

the 30 Traffic Generation Tips

1. Sridhar Katakam
Keep track of blogs and leave comments on them. A good way to keep the conversation going is to install a MyBlogLog widget and visit the blog of people visiting your site.

2. Ian Delaney
Nothing creates long-term traffic more than value. Consider writing posts with resources or explaining how things work. Useful things get linked to and they get onto del.icio.us, which is far better long-term than a digg front page.

3. Scott Townsend
Inform search engines and aggregators like Technorati (using the ping functionality)
when your blog is updated, this should ensure maximum traffic coming from those sources.
(check the List of Ping Services)

4. Kyle
Simplify. Pay attention to complex issues in your field of work. It may be a big long publication that is hard to wade through or a concept that is hard to grasp. Reference it and make a shorter “for dummies” version with your own lessons learned and relevant tips. When doing this, I have been surprised to find that the simplified post will appear before the more complex version in search results. Perhaps this is why it results in increased traffic; people looking for more help or clarification on the subject will land on your blog.

5. Grant Gerver
Try to be polemic. I write obsessively about all-things political from the left-wing perspective in the form of humorous, sarcastic one-liners.

6. Daniel
A simple tip that will probably boost your page views: install a translator plugin. I decided to use a paid plugin for this, but if I am not wrong there are some free ones as well. The translation is not very good, as you can imagine, but it helps to attract readers that are not fluent in English.

7. Rory
Submit articles to blog carnivals (http://blogcarnival.com) that are related to your niche.
Your article almost always gets posted, and it must generate a handful of visitors, at least.

8. Ramen Junkie
Newsgroups. I always see a spike when I post a review to a newsgroup.

9. Eric Atkins
Create a new design for your website. Not only will it be more attractive to your regular readers, but you can submit it to some CSS gallery showcase sites that feature great designs. This will give you exposure on those sites while generating a lot of traffic and backlinks from those types of sites.

10. Megan Taylor
Participate in conversations on related blogs. Start conversations on your own blog. Don’t just post about a story and leave it at that, engage your audience, ask questions and call to action.

11. Guido
Comment on blogs, write useful content and make good friends on forums.

12. Brian Auer
You must be active to generate traffic. I post comments on other blogs that are related to mine, and I post my site link in my signature at the forums. Spread the word about your blog and it will certainly attract readers.

13. Shankar Ganesh
Just browse around http://MyBlogLog.com and you will surely get visitors to your blog.
Also try to join as many communities as possible that are related to your topic.

14. Andrew Timberlake
A great tip for generating traffic is off-line by including your url in all your off-line liturature from business cards, letterheads, pamphlets, adverts through in-store signage if applicable. I even have our website on my vehicle.

15. Cory OBrien
Read lots of other blogs. Leave trackbacks. Make sure your blog is optimized for search engines. Leverage social bookmarking sites like digg (both for new ideas and for traffic).

16. Jester
Leave comments on other blogs. If you’re already reading them, it takes just a couple of seconds to leave a message agreeing or disagreeing with the author, you get to leave a link to your site, and you will almost ALWAYS get traffic from your comments.

17. Goerge Manty
Post 3-5 times a day. Use ping services like pingomatic or set up wordpress to ping some of the ping services. Engage your readers. Put up polls, ask them questions, give them quizes, free tools, etc. Make them want to come back and tell their friends about you.

18. Engtech
Community. It’s one word but it is the most important one when it comes to blogging. The only “blog metric” that makes sense is the vibrant community of readers it has. Building a community around your blog will bring you increased traffic, but how do you start? The boilerplate response to building traffic is always “SEO, social networking sites, and commenting on blogs” but it can be simplified to “be part of a community”. The easiest way to seed your blog is with an already existing community. But the only way to do that is to be part of the community yourself.

19. Chris
Squidoo Lenses are a good way to generate traffic. By using a lense, you can generate your own custom “community” of webpages, including someof the more popular pages in your “neighborhood.” Including your ownwebpage in such a list is a good way of generating traffic.

20. Splork
I’ve had good success writing articles and submitting them to EzineArticles. Articles that have been written from well-researched keyword phrases and accepted by EzineArticles tend to rank very high in Google for that search term. Placing anchor text in the footer of those articles so the reader can visit my relevant website has always increased my site traffic.

21. Jen Gordon
I came upon some unexpected traffic when my blog popped up on some css design portals like www.cssmania.com and www.webcreme.com . If you can put some time into the concept behind and design for your blog, I’d recommend submitting your site to a design portal not only foradditional traffic but to build an additional community around your site.

22. Kat
I’ve recently gotten involved with several “MySpace-like” community sites that focus on my target audience. I share my thoughts in their forums, post intros to my real blog on their system blog and I’ve even created a group for my specific niche. It’s been very, very successful for me.

23. Inspirationbit
Well, obviously everyone knows that social bookmarking sites like Digg, del.icio.us, etc. bring lots of traffic. But I’m now submitting some of my articles to blogg-buzz.com (a digg like site for bloggers), and I always get not a bad traffic from there.

24. Mark Alves
Participate in Yahoo Answers and LinkedIn Answers where you can demonstrate your expertise, get associated with relevant keywords and put your URL out there.

25. Tillerman
Be the first to write a post about the ‘Top Ten Blogs’ in your niche. The post will rank highly in any general search for blogs in your niche and other bloggers in your niche write about the post and link to it.

26. Nick
Participating in forums is a great way to get loyal readers. Either link baiting people in your signature or posting great advice and tips will give you high quality traffic, which will result in return visitors.

27. Brandon Wood
A simple trick I’ve used to increase traffic to my blog is participate in group writing projects.
In fact, that’s what I’m doing right now.

28. Alan Thomas
Don’t forget your archives. I just posted a roundup of all interviews I did over the past seven months. One of them generated a new link and a big traffic spike from a group of users that look like they will be loyal readers now.

29. KWiz
Write something controversial. I don’t think it’s good to write something controversial just for the purpose of getting traffic necessarily (especially if it’s only for that purpose and you’re being disingenuous), but it works.

30. Dennis Coughlin
Find the best blogs on your niche and contact the authors. Introduce yourself and send a link of your blog. This might help them to discover your blog, read it and possibly link to it.

Now all this advice is really great but only if you put it into action so get busy and you will succeed.

Two Sites You Must Add To Your Online Marketing Arsenal

Two Sites You Must Add To Your Online Marketing Arsenal
Posted on July 8th, 2008 by admin

Two websites I wanted to make sure that you are tapping into for your online marketing efforts are www.backpage.com and www.oodle.com.

These are both free online classified portals.

Here is an idea for how you can use these two websites to drive traffic to your website:

Make a post in items for sale with the title of the post being the name of the product you promote on your website. Whether you are an ecommerce store owner or an affiliate you can insert your link back to your website. Since your link is active on a high traffic website you can get a lot of exposure for your offer.

The beauty of these two websites is that you can make the hyperlinks live.

Another way to increase traffic even more with this opportunity is to actually bookmark your listing page as this will help make that page potentially get ranked in the search engines so you can get more traffic that way.

Make sure you look at these two websites to really increase traffic to your website starting today.

I am on my way to implement my own tip right now!

Different (and Profitable!) Ways to Use Smart Autoresponders

"Power up Your Profits by Packing Your Email Marketing With More Punch."

So, autoresponders allow you to automate the process of instantly replying to someone who either

1) asked for more information or

2) did something (such as buying from you).

When you start putting the wheels in motion to consistently follow up with your prospects, you'll start seeing the incredible results this amazing tool brings!

For example, you can use your autoresponder to...

Send instant information to people who request it;
Follow-up automatically with your HOT prospects;
Deliver a multi-step course or offer lessons by email;
Publish your ezine by broadcasting to your opt-in list;
Convert inactive or "dead" leads in your current list;
And promote (i.e., "upsell") backend products!

But before I go into further detail about these, I want you to understand the power of automation and the importance and the huge savings of using GetResponse.

Why Put Your Business on Autopilot...

Let's say you place a simple classified ad on the Internet for your product. It carries your offer and your email address so that your prospects can contact you for more information. Great.

Now, let's also say that your ad is viewed by thousands of people and, conservatively, generates over 300 queries on the first day of publishing. That's pretty good, right?

But here's the kicker...

Every information request you receive has a specific question to answer.

Now, how in the world are you going to be able to handle 300 information requests without going nuts?

For example, answering just one email may take you anywhere from 10-15 minutes! If you do the math, you have 75 hours of work ahead of you... And that's only for the first day!

That means, on the first day you'll only be able to answer just a third of those requests that's just 100! The other 200 will still be waiting and likely lose all interest by that point! Your HOTTEST prospects have now gone ice cold! And this doesn't account for all the future requests you are bound to receive on the second or third day your ad is published!

You Must "Hit the Iron While It's HOT!"

Prospects want information fast. But they will lose interest if they have to wait for your response! Heck, some of them won't probably even remember you by the time you respond! And a bigger problem is, this is just for the initial reply you haven't even begun following up with them, yet!

Can you see the damage and the frustration this can cause you? It's impossible to manually handle such a large volume of requests... At least, to do it all, and on time, particularly when the prospect is "hot!" (Unless you have a staff of workers!) If you think that hiring staff is the way to go, don't forget that on the Internet, people from around the world are seeing your ad, 24/7, around the clock.

Can you afford overtime?

However, autoresponders like GetResponse allow you to instantly answer ALL information requests from anyone around the world at any time... Even while you sleep!

So, let's at the same scenario but with a different twist...

You advertise with your classified ad again. But this time, however, you insert your autoresponder's email address for offering more information instead of your personal one. When someone sends email to that address, they receive a reply within seconds! Not in minutes, hours or days, but NOW! Going a Step Further...

To this point, I'm sure you understand the concept. But now, let me show you how you can start seeing the immense profitability in using "smart" autoreponders specifically.

Let's say that the people who requested your information got it, read it over but pushed it aside...

They're just undecided at this point and want to "think about it."

It's understandable. But if you leave it at that, here's what can happen... T

hey're too busy and never go ahead, They lost or misplaced your email, T

hey became swamped with other emails, They deleted your email by accident, They forgot about your offer, They lost interest in your offer, They found a better offer elsewhere, They forgot how to contact you, And so on. Can you see the problem?

With an "intelligent" autoresponder like GetResponse you can set it up so that additional reminder messages are sent out to your prospects automatically! By increasing the number of exposures to your message, your prospects will likely never forget or lose your email, and your prospect will think of you first when they do go ahead! If, out of those 300 initial information requests, 10 people go ahead, the remaining 290 are kept for you, added to your autoresponder cycle and automatically followed up with... ... As many times as is necessary!

Moreover, they're instantly added to your database, so you can contact them at any time, in the future, when you want! That way, you can start building a targeted opt-in list!

On top of getting automated, sequenced follow-ups, you can use it to publish an ezine, promote offers from JV partners or affiliate programs, or make special announcements! Doing so, you've not only raised the chances of selling that customer but also increased that customer's lifetime value by increasing the number of sales... With the same customer!

For example, let's say your business is about car parts. Your initial reply sends information about your business, or perhaps about a specific part a person wants more information on. They then get an email follow-up, once a week. They finally decide to buy. But in a few weeks down the road, you email them about, say, another part to go with the same car! In other words, you can get them to buy again and again! They bought from you once, so trust is already established...

Your client acquisition costs are virtually non-existent!

How to Structure Your Follow-up Sequence

In addition to sending email to an address, autoresponders can be triggered from a form on your website, where the visitor will enter his information and receive an instant reply. But now you want to set up a sequence of "autoresponses," so you can send further messages to your prospects at intervals you specify (such as two, five or seven days later).

Here is an example of an initial autoresponse message...

> Dear John Doe, >
Thank you for requesting more information on our > products earlier.

I have attached a document to this email > containing our price listings for > August's catalogue of products. > Please read through it at your convenience, John. >

I will get back to you the same time on Wednesday > with our special offers. >

Feel free to send me an email or call me, toll- > free at 877-555-1212, if you like to discuss your > needs in greater detail. >

Thanks again, >

Joe Bloggs > Bloggs Business Supplies Inc.

By the way, the words in red have been automatically added by the autoresponder for you. It can capture and add a first name, full name, month, year, a few days ahead, you name it!

Why?

Because with GetResponse you can ask for additional pieces of information, such as through a web form, and incorporate them into your email messages! You can also attach documents!

Then, a series of follow-up messages are sent over time at intervals you choose!

Here's one example of a sequence for following up with prospects who have requested information: 1st message is sent immediately 2nd message is sent 2 days later 3rd message is sent 5 days later 4th message is sent 8 days later 5th message is sent 12 days later 6th message is sent 16 days later 7th message is sent 20 days later (Also, keep in mind that the timeframe may be different, depending on your type of business, product or market.)

An Example of a Follow-up Sequence Below, I will illustrate how to set up your autoresponder with a sample sequence suitable for following up with people who have, say, requested information on a particular product.

Autoresponse: A

"Thanks" for Requesting Information

The aim is to thank your prospect for requesting information and introduce your website or product to them. It's important to outline the major benefits and what's in it for them!

Follow-Up #1: Introduce a Deadline or Time-Limited Offer
After a few days, your prospect can easily forget about you. Don't just remind them of your offer but also make them feel a sense of urgency, like, "I better get this before it's too late". Use scarcity, such as time-limited or quantity-bound offer. Perhaps there are only a 17 seats left at a seminar you are promoting, or maybe only 200 copies of your book printed.

Follow-Up #2: Reinforce Benefits to Persuade Prospects
Sent 3-5 days after the original request, elaborate on the offer by reinforcing the benefits. Stress the benefits they get from buying your product or doing business with you.

Follow-Up #3: Pile on the Bonuses to Get Them Excited
Stress the bonuses or premiums (many people buy products just for the bonuses). Remind them that bonuses are limited and guaranteed for a number of days. Again, use scarcity!

Follow-Up #4: Build Value by Comparing Your Product
Demonstrate the value by comparing "apples to oranges." If you're selling a report on how to create websites, compare it to paying an experienced (and rather costly) web designer!

Follow-Up #5: Boost Desire with Glowing Testimonials
Build trust. You're totally unknown to your prospects. But they will trust you far more if you give examples of what other people have said about your company and product.

Follow-Up #6: Demand Action and Remind of Deadline
This final step of your sequence is what makes or breaks the sale. Remind your prospect of the benefits of your product, and especially the urgency and scarcity, like a deadline. (Potential)

Follow-Up #7: Do Market Research
Remember that even when the follow-up sequence is complete your prospects are still very valuable to you, whether they bought or not. First, you can contact them for research. Ask them why they haven't bought from you. The information they provide may help you change your offer or even rewrite (or add something to) your autoresponder sequence.

Second, contact them on a regular basis thereafter (using your autoresponder's "broadcast" feature) to let them know of website updates, new products, special offers, etc.

Now, if you want to try it out at no cost to you, then sign up for GetResponse FREE.

You'll be set up in no time and start using it like the example, above. BUT, if you want to unlock all of the powerful features and use it to its fullest potential, then I highly recommend you try the all-new, full-featured GetResponse PRO.

"Power up your follow-up" right now!

Can You Really Build Online Relationships With Auotoresponsers?

In this article I’d like to talk about why you’re probably throwing away 80% of the total sales and sign ups you COULD be getting, as well as...

1) How to automatically follow-up with your prospects (for free) and teach them about your products or primary opportunity...

2) And how to build personal relationships with an UNLIMITED number of them in the same amount of time it’d take to build just ONE...

All without ever talking to a single one of them on the phone – or even in person!

I discovered this strategy myself years ago but failed to put it into action right away.
It was an expensive blunder.

I ended up losing over $35,000 in sales as a result! (That’s not even including the people I would have sponsored into my business)

The good news is, you can learn from my mistake and avoid making it in your business.

A PRICELESS RESOURCE NO NETWORK MARKETERSHOULD BE WITHOUT

Listen: If you want a highly profitable network marketing business – one that’sgoing to keep paying you FOREVER (even if your MLM company were to go out of business) – here’s what you need to start doing, if you haven’t already:

Build YOUR OWN email subscriber list.

Why is this so important?

Because if you’re not doing this... if you’re not capturing people’s names and email addresses when they visit your website or blog...
The chances of them coming back, or of you ever communicating with them again, are almost none!
Which means you’re letting the vast majority of your sales opportunities slip away.

Did you know sales studies have proven that, on average, it takes four to seven“points of contact” (or encounters) between you and your prospect before asale will happen?

Why is that do you think?

It’s because the first time someone comes across you, or lands on your website, they don’t have a clue WHO you are or if WHAT you’re selling really does what yousay it will do.

Maybe they’ve been unsuccessful with five other home based businesses before and they need more proof that you actually have something different to offer than everything else out there.

Maybe they’re interested in your moisturizing lotion, but they just need more information about whether it will help them with their special skin condition.

Or maybe they’re just hesitant to buy anything online, in fear you’ll just take their money (or identity) and run.

Whatever the case...

One of the biggest benefits of having yourown email subscriber list is you’ll gradually overcome ALL of this resistance!

Because every follow-up message you send is another opportunity to build a trustworthy and personal relationship.

And contrary to what many uplines orcompanies will tell you, face-to-face is NOT the only way to build personal relationships.

In fact, some of my very closestrelationships and friendships I have now were developed over the internet.

True business relationships have nothing to do with the medium being used. It’s all about the VALUE you give to the other person. And email is actually one of the best, fastest and easiest ways to providean OVERWHELMING amount of value for your prospects and potential customers.

It also gives you the opportunity to gradually answer all their questions and objections over time.
It’s only natural for someone to wonder, will this really work for me?

Plus it swings the door wide open for more education that will naturally pre-sell them on what you’re offering.

Now I don’t know for sure, but you might be using an offline method to follow-up with people right now.
It could be a phone call... thank you card…maybe even a face-to-face conversation.
These are all good ideas and it’s a lot better than not following up at all!

However, as your business continues to grow...
You won’t have time (or the money) to do this by yourself, with every single new prospect that enters your pipeline.
You’ll have to find a way to leverage your efforts and automate this process –which is EXACTLY what email marketing does.

PRESS “SEND,”REACH THOUSANDS OF PROSPECTS

Another huge advantage of building your own email list is the ability to stay in touch with an UNLIMITED number of your prospects.

Imagine writing ONE email... putting it into an auto-responder... pressing send... and having your message delivered to everyone who’s ever given you their name and email address – all at the very same time!

Powerful leverage and a big time saver!

After all, writing and sending emails one-by-one to hundreds or thousands of people would be impossible to pull off.

But that’s probably not even the main reason you should incorporate email marketing into your business...

IF YOU’RE NOT FOLLOWING UP WITH PEOPLE, YOU HAVEN’T EVEN SCRATCHED THE SURFACE OF HOW MANY SALES YOU COULD BE MAKING

Email marketing is not only a great way to follow up with potential customers and prospects... but also with the people who’ve ALREADY bought stuff from you!

It’s a proven fact that existing customers are responsible for the majority of a business’s total profits– usually 80% or more!

In fact, at least 20% of your existing customers WILL buy from you again (and again... and again...), if you follow up with more emails and simply ask them.

Needless to say, if you’re not doing this, you’re losing a lot of money and a ton of business.

Don’t believe me?
-A recent Forrester Research survey says email marketing provides the highest return on investment when compared to every other internet marketing activity.

-Jupiter Research predicts that email marketing spending will grow from $885 million in 2005 to $1.10 billion in 2010.

-Email is the #1 thing people do online.(Pew Internet Survey)

-82% of all internet consumers have bought something through their email account.
(Harte-Hanks.com)

-Out of 1,000,000,000 internet users worldwide, 90% use email! (Post Future)

So I hope my email and these overwhelming statistics have convinced you to start building an email list of your own –for your network marketing business.

Because the internet and email are only going to get BIGGER...

And you and your marketing strategies need to keep up!

To Your Success,

Frank Tocco
