My Favorite Strategy For Recruiting Up To 75 Per Day Live

Bar none my favorite and in my experience the most exciting way to drive massive numbers into your downline in the least amount of time is the strategy of newsletter marketing.

Today I'd like to share a few tips that will help you get a maximum response from using this form of marketing, pay close attention because this stuff isn't in any books or courses I've seen out there.

It works like this . . .There are newsletters that cater to every interest imaginable, from gardening to raising poodles, so it only makes sense that there are newsletters out there that serve crowds of individuals wanting to earn a living from home.

Because the crowd who reads these newsletters are interested in starting a business and looking forward to receiving more informationon starting a business from home they are an extremely responsive crowd to get your message in front of.

The best ad I've placed in one of these newsletter brought in some 75 people in a few days while I was still working the good old JOB.

I gotta tell you, there's no better feeling than coming home from the grind to see 50 new people in your downline while you were gone. The way that we as marketers can get in front of these folks is to place an ad in one of these publications.

What you might not know is there are several types of ads that you can place in these publications and each type will return a different rate of response.

If you're anything like me, I know you're probably wondering what's the BEST way to get the highest response?

If so listen closely .. .I've placed every type of ad imaginable in these publications and bar none the best of the bunch is called a "solo ad". It's a form of an ad that goes out to the entire subscriber base with no other competing noise.

So right here you can see the advantage of such a type of ad, but here's a reason why you need to placing this sort of an ad above all others that you may not have considered.

If you place any other ad you're competing with both the content in that newsletter as well as other ads, so to get maximum share voice you want to be the only one there, but the REAL reason why solo ads out pull all others is because you control the subject line of the emailing itself.

That's where the real power is in placing a solo ad. The reason why is because even if you've got a killer ad in the newsletter competing with others that draws in clicks like crazy if that email never gets opened it doesn't matter one bit.

If you control the subject line of the mailing now you control how many eyeballs actually see the ad which is kingpin here. If they don't see it they can't respond, so if you get them to see the ad with a strong subject line that gets them to open the email the lion share of the work is done.

Another thing you might not know about this form of marketing is that your response is NOT so much driven by your call to action as it is by placing your ad in the right newsletter.

You could place a killer ad in a bad newsletter and you response will be low, but you can place a mediocre ad in a killer newsletter and you're almost assured strong results.

So the key to newsletter marketing is placing the right type of ad. A solo ad so that you can control the subject line ensuring the maximum number of people open the email and picking the right newsletter to place the ad in in the first place.

You get these two things right and you'll find yourself coming home from work one day with tons of people in your business while you were away. Then not to long after you won't be going to work because you're making a full time living from your business.

11 Surefire Ways To Create Killer Headlines

Written by Lena Bjorna

The sole purpose of your headline is to entice the person reading it to read the REST of your article. If it doesn’t accomplish that, your article might as well not exist.

As crazy-busy and over-stimulated as everyone is these days, more stuff to wrap our brains around is exactly what we DON'T need.

That's why your headline has got to show your prospective reader that the the body of the text is going to give him some great benefit in trade for the valuable time it takes to read it. Here are some simple but tried-and-true techniques to accomplish just that.

1. Who Else Wants ___?

Here you use social proof, implying that lots of people already have or are doing “it”. You play on your reader’s desire to be "part of the group".

Who Else Wants to Make Money in Their Sleep?

Who Else Wants an Endless Stream of High-Quality Leads?

2. The Secret(s) of/to ___

3. Warning: ___

None of us wishes to be duped or to make a fool of ourselves. So if someone tells us there’s a good chance we will, but that they can help us avoid it, we are likely to give them our attention.

4. Here is a New Method that is Helping ___ to ___

Here, you pinpoint your target audience and the benefit you can provide them, and simply announce this in your headline. It's even more effective when you add the word "new” as people have a tendency to think the latest is always the best.

5. Little Known Ways to ___This one is really a variation of “The Secret of…” headline. As it is not as commonly used, it is perhaps even more of an attention-grabber.

6. Are You Making These (Fatal) Mistakes in ___?Just like with the “Warning:…” headline you capitalize on your reader’s fear of making mistakes and looking foolish. He'll want to read your post to make sure he isn't unwittingly setting himself up for failure.

7. Get Rid of ___ Once and For All

8. Here’s a Quick Way to ___
Who doesn’t want to learn how they can quickly better their results?

Here’s a Quick Way to Improve Your Conversion Rates

9. If You Don’t ___ Now, You’ll Hate/Kick Yourself LaterWho wants to live with regret? With a headline like this, your reader will click on your article to make sure he doesn’t fall into that very trap.

If You’re Not Using SEO Strategies Now, You’ll Hate Yourself Later.

If You Don’t Get “Building On a Budget” Now, You’ll Kick Yourself Later.

10. Now You Can ___ and Still ___

“Have your cake and eat it too”…isn't that what we all want (but are told we can't have)?
Now You Can Own Your Own Business and Still Have Time For Your Family.
Now You Can Advertise All over the Internet and Still Have Money Left Over to Eat

11. You Don’t Have to be ___ to be ___

Your reader may automatically assume he’s excluded from the group, that this isn’t for "people like him". Use this strategy to address his misconceptions right off the bat, and he’ll be much more open to what you have to say next.

You Don’t Have to Be a Great Writer to Get Great Results With Blogging.

You Don’t Have to Be a Salesperson to Succeed In this Business.

Ask yourself this next time you write your headline: Will this headline lure the person reading it into the body of the text? Why would he want to click on my post rather than one of the gazillion others that are all at once screaming for his attention?

Again, you MUST promise your prospective reader something of value in return for his time. That's what your headline is for.

And that's really the only way to turn a Browser into a Reader.

The Secret To Building A Successful Network Marketing Business

Did you ever wonder what the secret is to building a successful Network Marketing business?

I know I wondered for years. I would attend company events and ask questions of top income earners, just knowing there was some piece missing that was going to be the answer to my success.

Once I begin to look inward, at myself and my actions, I realized that the "Holy Grail" lies within each of us. We just have to discover it there.

Since that time I have worked on some business principles that have made a difference for me, when I follow them. These are the business rules that I live and die by. It is my belief that if you will follow these business rules, you can not help but be a success.

1. Commit to self development and learning.
Always be reading some type of book on self development and improving yourself.

2. Refuse to get discouraged and especially do not let others discourage you.
If you must take a 15 minute pity party, fine, but then pick yourself back up and put on a smile.

3. Meet, greet and delete your fears.
Take it out, talk to it, laugh and brush it off. Find that "feel good" feeling.

4. Be coachable.
Great ideas are out there everywhere. Be willing to ask, listen and learn.

5. Attend company functions so you can know the heart and soul of the business, management and the leaders. This will help you develop more quickly.

6. Seek out others who want what you have to share and let go of those who do not.

That is it.

Everything else can be done in different ways. You might build through parties, running ads, fundraisers, online, or whatever. You don't have to build in the same way as your upline and sponsor. Find your way and commit to it 100%.

Take action daily and keep your focus and blinders on!

BELIEVE Success!

Competition For Links Is Not Your Problem

Never Worry About Competition!
One of our pet peeves is the fact that everybody is so worried about competition! It just drives us crazy! Never worry about competition! We’ve heard it so many times from so many customers and we try so hard to change people’s attitudes. What do you say to the person who’s reading this thinking, “I’m not going to put anybody’s link on my Website - that’s going to drive business to them instead of me!”

The Web is totally different - it’s a completely different world than inserting a flier for someone selling a competing product with you in your own product. You’re providing a resource that people will bookmark and come back to your Website to find links to other Websites. It’s a whole different ballgame here! You’re actually providing a resource! One of the things that people on the Web are constantly looking for is a good place to go to other places on the Web.

Everybody’s heard of Yahoo.

It’s a multi-billion dollar business in just a few short years. Guess what their whole business started out doing? It was nothing but a place to go to other Websites from. On top of that, every link you add you makes sure you’ve got a link on their Site bringing people to you from their customers.

Anybody who clicks on a link and goes to another Website just has to go up to that little button that says “back” on their browser, hit back, and pow! - they’re right back to your Website!

They can go over these links and use them to go check out other stuff. And so what?!? There’s so many billions of users on the Internet, all you want to do is get enough traffic coming through consistently to make the sales from those customers who chose to buy from you.

We have a friend involved in credit card processing and he’s got hundreds of people, maybe more, that have entered our Site to say, “Hey, can I put an advertisement for your Site on my Site?” and he’d pay them if any business comes through. Sometimes somebody clicks on that banner which goes to another Site, which goes to another Site, which goes to another Site and eventually they end up on yours and they buy your product.

He talked to some of his customers and ask, “How did you find us?” And they say, “Well, I went to buy a CD-ROM but I clicked over to another Site that had printing because I needed to get printing, then I clicked to another Site that had a mail room and I clicked to another Site that did packaging, then I clicked over, clicked over, and eventually clicked over to a Site that said ‘Hey, need to accept credit cards for your sales? Click Here!’”

They just kept bouncing around until they found them. And it’s beautiful because they get business they wouldn’t have had. The people who actually sent the customer to them gets paid a nice fee, and everybody is happy and the customer’s satisfied because with just clicking his mouse he’s been able to get everything he needs for his new venture. It’s wonderful!

It’s so ridiculous that people worry so much about competition. Because it’s silly!! By joint venturing with these other Sites you just get your message across to so many more people. It reminds us in Mail Order of a mailing list. Over the years, we have made hundreds of thousands of dollars by renting out our names to mailing list brokers and to companies who used our buyers’ names.

There are some companies (we still run into them) that say, “These are my customers and no one else shall ever have them!” They won’t take this money! These thousands and thousands of dollars they could make every year, tens of thousands, because they have this crazy idea that they’re not going to share with anyone else. It’s really ridiculous!

Anytime you drive past a McDonald’s, Burger King, or a Wendy’s, look around and within a block or usually across the street you’ll find the competition. And they both make more money because they’re both there. People know food and they move to that area. Next time you go in front of a fast food place, look around and you’ll see a competitor.

One of the most popular shopping centers in San Diego, actually in San Marcos now, is a real innovative shopping center . . .

The whole shopping center is restaurants! There’s an Italian restaurant, there’s a Chinese restaurant, there’s a steak house, there’s a Japanese place, there’s any kind of restaurant. There’s a Thai restaurant, there are about 12 or 15 restaurants all in the same strip mall and they all are doing more business than they can handle!

The shopping center is ONLY for restaurants. There’s no bookstore, there’s no electronic store, there’s no clothing store. Every place in there - and we think there are about 15 now - is a restaurant! That would be the place we’d want our restaurant!

Have you noticed how every bookstore has a coffee shop in it now? If they were real scared they could say, “Every dollar spent on coffee is one dollar less that’s spent on books or visa-versa!” Instead what they do is say, “Hey, sit down and read a book! Have a cup of Java. Take your time."

They both make more money!

The other thing to keep in mind is they call it the World Wide WEB because it’s thousands of decided they wanted a little tiny web of their own, so there’s 25 million different little webs. But how effective would that be compared to this gigantic WEB that covers the entire world?

Getting The Most Out Of Ezine Marketing

Ezines can be a very effective form of advertising but there are a few things to take into consideration before you place an order for you ad.

First, what is an ezine?

An ezine is an “Electronic Magazine” or a newsletter of some kind, where a list of subscribers is marketed to over a period of time from an individual or a group.

You can purchase ad space in their issues and newsletter broadcasts, that will go out to thousands of readers at one time.

When advertising with ezines the only two ads you should take into consideration are “top sponsor” and “solo” ads.

A top sponsor ad is a short 5-10 line ad that is placed at the top of the issue and is the first thing the readers see. (See example ad for more info).

When writing these types of ads, be sure that you get to the point of what they are going to get by clicking on your link and be sure to include the URL or your tracking URL is included in the ad.

A solo ad is just as its title portrays. It is the only thing that is included in that particular issue. These are what we recommend the most.

Usually ezine owners will limit the length to 60-65 lines long but some will give you unlimited length. (See example ad for more details)

One thing to take into consideration when using solo ads, longer is not better. Try to keep your ad down to less than a page. Break the paragraphs up so it is easy to skim.

Be sure to include your URL or tracking link in the ad a couple times and sign off with your name and the link.

When considering placing an ad with an ezine owner you must first do two things.

1. Subscribe to their newsletter to see the types of information they send to their subscribers. This way you will be able to follow their format and writing styles.

2. Be sure that the content of that particular ezine is related to the content that you are going to sending them. You don't want to send out an ad about Magnetic Sponsoring to a job opportunity ezine.

Where To Find Ezines To Advertise With:

A couple things to take into consideration…

If it seems too good to be true… IT IS!

The size of the subscriber list is not always a factor to take into consideration. For example, if an ezine has a subscriber list of 2,000 people, and the cost to place a solo ad is $5. You might want to find another one.

This means that the list is not that responsive to offers. But you could do a test to that list and see what happens.

However if that same list has a solo ad price of $50, this means the list is going to be responsive.
This is of course just a general rule of thumb to go by.

Be sure you always track your ads to be sure you know what works and what doesn’t. (This will be covered later).

The same thing goes for if an ezine has 50,000 subscribers and they only charge $10 to place an ad, this means the list is not as responsive. But if they charge $100 than you will have a better response.

This is not always the case but it is a good guide to follow when selecting an ezine.

Resources:

http://www.ezines-r-us.com/ : On here you will find hundreds of different ezines and groups to choose from. They have many different ad packages and prices, it all depends on how much is in your budget and if the list is relevant to your content.

www.bestnewsmarketinggazette.com/ezineadvertising.html: Here you'll find several cheaper options to choose from. You can also purchase directly from them by using the links at the right.

http://www.directoryofezines.com/: (HIGHLY Recommended) This is a directory of literally thousands of ezines that you can research and place ads with in your relevant categories.
You will have to purchase a membership to the directory, but it is worth the money.

I recommend purchasing the lifetime membership because it will save you money in the long run. There is also quite a bit of helpful information in the directory to help you with your quest.
We have members who generate 2,000 to 10,000 leads per month with Ezines and you can too!
The key to achieving these kinds of results is simple. You have to continually set up a pipeline of ezines.

Step 1: Test as many new Ezine sources as you can each week. ?

Step 2: Keep the ones that produce and place on-going ads with them. ?

Go back to Step 1 and repeat!

By the end of 90 days, you should have a substantial lead pipeline that's generating hundreds/thousands of leads for you every month automatically.

Tracking Your Results

You will want to be sure that you track your results using tracking links. This way you know which ezines work better than others and which ones don’t work at all.

There is definitely a testing time with ezines but you can get huge results if done the right way.

Things you are going to want to test…
· Length of your ad. (longer vs. shorter)
· Placement of your link (middle, bottom, middle and the bottom, toward the top, or all three spots)

The best way to test is by using tracking links.

There are a couple different places you can get tracking links from that are inexpensive and easy to use.

Your Magnetic Sponsoring back office comes complete with a tracking module. Simply go to the "Marketing" Menu and click on "Ad Campaigns".

Click the "Add" button to set up a new tracking link for the capture page you would like to advertise.

This new link is what you'll place within your ezine ad.

Set up a NEW tracking link for EACH different ezine or ad you test, so that you can see which ones perform best.

Grow A Large Thriving Network Marketing Organization FASTER

I was listening to one of my favorite marketing mentors in the car earlier today and he reminded me of a very important fact about business.

It applies doubly so to online business.

What this mentor said was that success is a marathon and not a sprint. I know we all know this, but sometimes it's important to remember it and to really take it to heart in all that we do. . . especially in today's fast paced world.

We want everything here and now. Instant gratification is the name of the game.

And so that is how thing are sold to us . . .
Especially on the Internet.

We get bombarded by messages that tell use that this or that is the instant solution to whatever problem we need to solve. The reason why is . . . it WORKS! It gets us to take action and buy.

This is good in the sense that we can use this to our advantage from a selling perspective (One of the BIG topics discussed in "Internet ML'M Success"), but when buying we have to realize that no matter what we're being presented with their will be WORK involved.

I've bought and tried just about anything and everything online that promises to help me make money quickly and guess what?

For the most part it's good information, but none of it has lead to instant wealth in my
life.

While the experiences gained while trying all these different things did give me a hard earned education that has taught me how to run a business online and it has put money in my pocket.

It was actually the experience over time along with the information that turned into revenue.

If you treat your business like a sprint and you jump into every business opportunity because you think that if you just get in early and push hard that money will fall in your lap you'll fail every single time.

Rather real success online or with network marketing comes from consistent and persistent focused effort aimed towards your ONE goal! (It's different for each of us.)

For instance . . . Internet network marketing is my chosen niche for a reason. I love the speed of results that can be created in an online world, but I equally love the security and financial freedom that a strong and thriving network marketing organization affords. I know that if I can master both internet and network marketing that I will be able to grow a large thriving network marketing organization FASTER than if I do it solely offline.

But . . .

Even at this I know that it's a marathon and not a sprint.

My team and I have worked consistently for the past 14 or so months and now we've got over 445 people as part of our group.

These numbers are the type of numbers that only a true network marketing master could boast of creating in the offline world in the time frame stated, but if anything I want you to realize that I had NO prior network marketing success. . .I just put the pieces of the puzzle together and then helped others do the same.

If I can do this so can you.

I'm just a guy with ONE goal, a plan of action, and team full of great people who all understand that network marketing is a business of delayed gratification.

The big money comes in years 3 to 5 and we know this.

I've made a commitment to myself and my team to stick with my ONE company for at least that length of time working consistently and persistently towards my goal.

So stop and ask yourself right now . . .

Are you committed enough to your business and your future that you would devote the next 3 to 5 years of your life to it to see big results?

Network marketing can give you more freedom in your life than you can ever imagine if you just approach it as a marathon and not a sprint. The dream is true and it's there if you want it.

You have to give your time and your hearts true passion to your business and your organization if you want this to happen.

Rome was not built in a day and neither will your network marketing financially free lifestyle no matter what THEY say!

The Best Way To Generate Leads And Recruit People Into My Business On A Shoestring Budget

I get asked all the time what's the best way to generate leads and recruit people into my business on a shoestring budget, so today we're going to review the three most powerful ways to do just that.

1. Funded Proposal:
The best way to increase your probability of success in your business is to turn your little budget into a much larger one while generating leads and a profit in the process.

If you don't have much money to promote your business then the first thing you should think about is how to make your budget larger, not how to get by solely on free traffic.

Why?

Free traffic is great, but to win in the end you want to have the ability to generate traffic from as many different places as possible and well, most high yield advertising does cost money, so it's a reality to understand and overcome, not try to maneuver around.

A funded proposal gives you the opportunity to generate leads and have those leads pay for themselves through the sale of the products in your marketing system.

So the most important strategy is to think about how you can afford to pay more for advertising instead of trying to do everything free and using a funded proposal system is by far the most powerful way to do this.

2. Article Marketing:
After returning from an extremely informative seminar this weekend the power of article marketing has been reinforced in my mind in a big way. I personally have written some 100 plus articles that has lead to over 80,00 references to my name in Google. That's powerful.

This past weekend I listened to the strategies of an article marketing specialist and this method alone had yielded him over $12,000 a month all via free traffic. If those two things aren't proof enough that article marketing is powerful then I don't know what is.

It's free, it's viral, and produces the highest converting leads of all traffic sources I've tracked, so I suggest you use this strategy and use it in a big way.

An article a day keeps the J.O.B. away!

3. Blogging:
This one may surprise you, but blogging is not only a powerful tool to use in your prospecting efforts, but it's a highly targeted free traffic generator as well. In fact I was extremely surprised to see that one of my blogs that I use solely for prospecting and as a meeting place for my team after checking my server stats to this day generats over 200 unique visitors a month and all I do is write stuff and add it to the blog.

Don't expect blogging to bring you big traffic today or tomorrow, but six months down the line when you have over 100 post or so on your blog mark my words the search engines are going to be sending you some significant traffic just for you having put that content out there.

That's proof enough for me.

So that's it.

The last thing to say is this, don't think about using just one of these methods use them all together and you'll soon not only have high quality targeted free traffic and leads coming your way, but you'll find you have an ever growing marketing budget to go along with it.

Now all that's left do is get to work!

The Real Reason People Quit...

On the surface this may seem like a very simple question that could be answered by a few of the typical/obvious answers:

They quit.
They didn't plug in.
They didn't participate.

Whatever...What you want to ask yourself, or maybe even know about yourself, is WHY...WHY didn't they follow through, while others do?

When I finally learned the answer to this question last week listening to a CD in my MLM university (aka, my truck), it was quite sobering...

Not only did the reason behind their results come into the open, but the reason for my recent spat of success became apparent as well.

So what's the answer?

Why do most people fail when a select few succeed?

Drum roll please...

Those who do succeed have a Core Desire to do so.

Those who don't share that same Core level of desire will not. "Desire... Yes, I've already heard that 100 times from my upline:'

Just look for people with desire and you'll do great... Yada Yada Yada... Everyone I talk to has the desire to make more money. It hasn't made any difference so far."And you're right. The difference is in their level of desire.

The only time anything ever gets done in your life - When you follow it through to completion with a sense of urgency, is when you desire to accomplish that task at Core Level of 100 on a scale of 100. You must accomplish it. It's a part of you. It consumes you. It dominates your thoughts above and beyond anything else each day and all day.

These are Core desires, and the people who achieve notable success in network marketing, have that accomplishment as a core desire. They are the ones you see on stage and hear on the training calls. That's it. That's the secret.

If attaining your goal, whether it be to pay off your credit cards, buy a house, save for retirement, or fire your boss, is not a core desire, and not attached to your networking business, you will not succeed. Period.

The sad truth, is that most people in this industry did not buy a business, they bought hope. And hope is never backed by true desire. Hope is for the undecided. A career in network marketing (i.e. a boss free life), has been a core desire of mine for the last 7 years.

I've moved across the country because of it. I've taken certain jobs because of it. I've dated or not dated because of it. I spent money on training instead of furniture because of it.

The desire to never work for anyone else again has been a dominating force in my life, and it's the reason I didn't quit after the first 6 years of hell. It's the reason I continued to pour every spare cent I ever made into my business. It's the reason I pawned everything I own to buy advertising - and came up empty. Yet I kept going forward without doubt because I have this core desire at a level of 100 to succeed in networking.

And this means my success was 100% guaranteed. It was no longer a matter of IF, but when...So that's why people you sponsor quit. Don't get frustrated. 80% of people who join you will never sponsor more than 1 rep or customer. Most people simple don't have the desire at a level of 100 to accomplish their goals through their new business.

They just bought hope in order to quiet that little voice inside them that keeps nagging them to make a change. Once they buy the business, and they don't make $1,000 in 5 days, they can then justify their fear of change with the "logic" that it just "didn't work", and that they knew it was a scam to begin with...

This is especially true with opportunity seekers, which is why I don't waste my money on leads and why you shouldn't either.

Ha.

So sad, yet so true. People are funny aren't they?

So my question to you is...

What is your desire level to achieve your goal through network marketing? Is it at 50? (like most people)

Is it at 80? (not enough)

Is it at 90? (not enough)

Or is it at 100? (The only number that WILL produce results).

You should be able to tell pretty quickly...

What do you do each day to build your business? How many books on the industry do you own? How many conference calls are you on each week? How many people do you talk to about your business/product each day? What would you be willing to give and sacrifice to succeed?

I hope the answer to that questions is "whatever it takes", because I can promise you the end result is worth the sacrifice.

So how can you tell if your prospect is going to succeed or fail from the very first phone call?

Easy...Ask them this question:
"So which books are you currently reading on self-development and marketing?"

Anyone who is TRULY serious about being a successful entrepreneur will be able to name at least one book they are reading right now.

Those who can't, are just kidding themselves. So here's a quick test you...

You've been getting this newsletter for at least a few weeks at this point and you've already gone through the 7-Day Video Boot Camp, but do you own a copy of Magnetic Sponsoring and the secrets that it holds?

If the answer is "no", then I can honestly say that there's a 99% chance that you do not have a core desire to be successful in network marketing. If you did, you would have instantly recognized the value of the information in that book no matter what the price was.

Using Tracking Systems To Get As Much Website Traffic As Possible To Your Site

By Frank Tocco

It’s your job as an internet marketer to get as much website traffic as possible to your site but more importantly to do it in the most efficient manner possible. The less time and money spent on getting the most results, the better return on your investment. With that in mind, here’s some tips in using tracking systems.

The only way to know if the advertising or traffic generating method you’re using is working is to try different things and then track the results. Then keep using the ones that work and quit using the one’s that are wasting your money and time.

It’s important to track everything you can. Think of every ad, post, email, sigfile, ezine ad, traffic exchange and any other place you put a link to your site, as a test. If you don’t know the results of your tests, how can you improve your results?

Tracking click thru rates is not enough. Make sure the system you’re using has the ability to track not only click-thru rates, but sign ups and sales as well. This way you’ll know if the traffic source is truly getting results.

You may have one ad getting 2000 clicks and 1 sale, while a second ad gets 50 clicks and 5 sales. If the first ad costs 10 dollars and the second ad costs 40 dollars, which ad is more profitable? Let’s assume that the product we’re selling is the same and makes 20 dollars profit.

AD 1 $10 cost 1 sale X $20 Profit = $20 - $10 ad cost = $10 Profit

AD 2 $40 cost 5 sales X $20 Profit = $100 - $40 ad cost = $60 profit

As you can see, the number of hits to a site does not always mean that ad is more profitable. The only way to know for sure is to track results. Once you know what works, put more of you advertising budget into the most productive methods. The same $40 spent on ad one that would produce about four sales could be spent on ad two and make about twenty sales.

Twenty sales X $20 profit = $400 - $40 ad cost = $360 profit on the same $40 investment!

Can you see why it’s important to track everything? If all you tracked were the total clicks you could never be sure which ad they were coming from or where people were buying from.

It would be easy to mistake the ad with the most hits as being the ad people are buying from and you could be wasting money. Money that could be redirected into more profitable and effective advertising as soon as possible will make you more in the long run.

With that said, you want to be sure that you track your results long enough to be accurate. A hundred times is not enough. For visitors to your site 3000 to 5000 visitors will give you a pretty good idea if your site is doing what it’s supposed to do. ie; ( get sign ups or make sales). Banner impressions would take around 20,000 to 50,000 impressions to get an idea if it’s working. If it gives you good results keep doing it and if not change or remove it.

Know your return on investment for each traffic source. The best and only tracker to use is one that tracks return on investment for you and will also track total clicks, total sign ups and total sales. If it takes this information and automatically reports the percentages of total clicks to total sign ups and sales and your total return on investment then you have a winner as far as tracking goes.

Once you find some effective traffic sources that give you a good ROI, pump up your budget on these sources by redirecting the money spent on ineffective sources. Then go looking for new sources. Remember to keep trying different things and after six months or so, you’ll have a collection of really good, profitable website traffic generators that you can rely on for producing predictable results.

Good luck and get tracking!

How To Retain Your Network Marketing Downlines For Life

How To Retain Your Network Marketing Downlines For Life
One of the real obstacles that all successful network marketers face is how to retain your network marketing downline. As you already know from experience, many of your prospects that you signed up into your downline end up leaving.

As a network marketer that has gone through watching your downline crumble almost as fast, as you can build it, it has probably crossed your mind every day. So, what can you do to retain your downline and build the better mouse trap.

Many network marketers find themselves in a role as the reluctant messiah. They did not consider they would be the one to break new ground and lead the pack. But here you are, that reluctant messiah that everyone is turning to for your lead.

After all, your success depends on keeping your downline and helping them achieve the same success that you are trying to attain in the company you work so hard for. Your leadership in the role of a manager is needed.

You may not have considered this yet, but your downline does look to you as the leader. They all look to you for the answers. This becomes even more demanding on your time when some of your downline successes have their own downline people looking for guidance from the ones you are trying to mentor.

1. Become a good communicator.
Know all the answers, or know the people that do have them. You must be able to be that authority figure for your downline. When they have questions, you must provide them with the right answers.

2. Maintain a good, solid relationship with your downline.
This means encouraging them, helping them, showing them how to generate sales and leads. Know them on a personal level.

3. Closely monitor all of your downlines activities.
Set aside time to communicate personally with everyone. You are taking the leadership role by open communication with them. When someone has issues, then hear them out and respond.

This is true support. Don’t let a week go by without establishing contact with your downline. This way, if there are some problems, you can help to eliminate them before someone gets so frustrated over something they leave.

4. Let your downline shine! Everyone wants their shot at the 15 minutes of fame they have been waiting for. Give your people the opportunity shine in the sun. When they make a big sale or sign up someone to their downline, make a BIG deal out of it. This is your family, allow them to feel they are a part of it.

5. Set realistic goals for each person in your downline. Some of your people will be doing this part time, others will be trying to grab the world by it’s throat and sign them up. By setting realistic goals for everyone in your downline to follow, you are giving them direction and inspiring them to grab the brass ring. Your company may have very unrealistic goals. It will be up to you to evaluate these goals yourself and set the realistic goals that can be achieved.

These tips may already be in place for you, but these tips will certainly be incentive to retain more of your downline efforts because they will work for you.

7 Tips for Getting Great Traffic-- with Classified Ads!

7 Tips for Getting Great Traffic -- with Classified Ads!

In the offline world, there has always been a marketing tool that small businesses have used over and over again to reach HUGE audiences with minimal investment. ... I'm talking about classified ads -- which you can find in just about every newspaper on the planet!

But did you know that ONLINE classified ads can be just as effective? Not only do they put your product in front of people who are actively looking to BUY something -- they also give you great inbound links from high PageRank sites!

Here are some great places for you to post your classified ads:

www.craigslist.org

www.kijiji.com

www.classifiedsforfree.com

www.gumtree.com

You can also get your ads listed on newsletters that appeal to your target market. (Though you might have to pay to get your ad listed in these... do some testing and see if the price you pay is worth it.)

The best way to find newsletters to advertise in is to run a search on your top keywords along with the word "newsletter" or "ezine." You should then contact the sites one by one and ask them if they're willing to run your ad in their newsletter.

You can also check out the following newsletter directory sites for newsletters that cater to your market:

www.newsletteraccess.com

http://gort.ucsd.edu/newjour

ezinelocater.com

However, in order to get the best results from your classified ads, you have to know how to write a winning ad! Here are 7 tips that will help you score the greatest number of targeted visitors with your ads...

Classified Ad Tip #1: Make your headline compelling
The first thing people will notice is your headline. Use "power words" such as, "free," "guarantee," and "save" to make sure it grabs their attention right away! Otherwise, they won't bother reading the rest of your ad.

Classified Ad Tip #2: Don't be too "wordy"
Keep your message short and sweet. Focus on a single benefit, and make it really compelling! People don't want to read something long and boring -- they need to be able to scan your ad quickly to determine whether or not they want to click on it.

Remember, the point of your ad isn't to sell your product -- it's to encourage people to click through to your salespage and then let IT do the heavy lifting.

Classified Ad Tip #3: Tailor your ad to the category it appears in
Classified ad sites are usually broken up into different categories, making it easier for people to find what they're looking for. Make sure your ads are properly worded for the categories they will appear in.

If necessary, write different ads for different categories.

Classified Ad Tip #4: Post your ad in multiple categories
Always place your ad in multiple categories and sub-categories. An ad in 10 categories running for one week will usually generate a better response than a single ad in one category for 10 weeks.

Classified Ad Tip #5: Check out the competition
Before you write your ad, snoop around to see what kinds of ads your competition is placing. Figure out what their strengths and weaknesses are, then use this information to make YOUR ad more compelling.

Classified Ad Tip #6: Check your ad position regularly
Classified ad sites change quickly. One day your ad will be at the top of the page, and the next it will have disappeared four pages down. Be prepared to resubmit your ad on a regular basis.

Classified Ad Tip #7: Use a "dummy" email address
If you post your email address in your classified ads, it will almost certainly be harvested by spammers. Unless you want your inbox to be swamped with a ton of junk mail, you should use a dummy email account you've set up through a free service like Hotmail or Gmail. ...

By following these 7 tips and getting your classified ads posted on numerous different classified ad sites and ezines, you're bound to see a huge boost in your traffic numbers. And that's the kind of "classified info" you'll want to share with the world!

Low-Cost Website Traffic Building

By: Daegan Smith

It is also important for the owner not to rely on the strength of his product or service, or of his employees. In addition, any effort to boost traffic does not have to entail huge costs. The owner should endeavor to maximize use of all outgoing print or electronic documents to promote the site. These would include business cards, business stationery and other print material.

The company's name, URL and all other contact details, logo, address, and slogan should be prominent in all distributed material. This move to exhaust all promotional possibilities should also apply to emails, bill payments, faxes and receipts. The data should always contain updated information, including pricing and special offers and awards received, if any.

Press releases and articles are also useful tools for low-cost business promotion. Such articles can serve as free advertising and lead to word-of-mouth promotion of the site. An article should be as specific as possible and appear in a print publication or e-zine that reaches the website's core audience.

The market now offers quite a number of both print and online sources open to unsolicited content from unknown writers - as long as the article is not in any way offensive or would create legal problems.

Press releases are another free tool for building a company's site traffic. However, such a release should be newsworthy and attract interest. This means news such as business expansion, a new product, sponsorship of a major event, or an award for business excellence.

High-traffic Internet forums are another inexpensive way of marketing the site. Although blatant advertising is generally prohibited, the site owner can let forum members know his business background and basic data on his company's product or service. This approach is ideally geared more toward business-related forums and sites.

Buddy marketing is another inexpensive way to promote the site and boost traffic. The strategy calls for adding a partner company's leaflet or card when sending out one's own brochures, with the other busines reciprocating. This gives both businesses the ability to reach more potential customers.

This marketing style works particularly well for complementary businesses such as a sporting goods store and a store offering athletic apparel, a newspaper dealer and a magazine seller, and a pet supplies and pet grooming company. Offering freebies either as a reward or business promotion also works for most businesses. This could be extra roses for a buyer of a bouquet of flowers, free cones for every gallon of ice cream bought, or a strong hanger for someone who purchases a particular type of coat. This approach builds positive consumer sentiment that can easily translate to more traffic.

One more way of site promotion to boost traffic is by appearing on a local radio or TV show looking for guests or an expert in a particular field or industry. An auto mechanic can offer advice on car maintenance and repair, while a pet store owner can give pet care tips. Similar to freebies, such appearances generate goodwill for the business.

Free seminars or presentations will also help boost site traffic. A local carpet maker can schedule one to teach participants about installing specific flooring types and later offer special discounts for that particular product. Some companies also have their names and key contact details painted on vehicles. This mobile form of advertising is ideal particularly for businesses that depend a lot on the transportation of their products or goods.

An enjoyable way to promote a business is through the owner's leisure activities. Participation in a rock band, a local race competition or marathon can be taken as an opportunity to have the company's brand on printed on promotional t-shirts or simply mentioned to identify the owner and his business before or after the performance.

Free public relations opportunities are also available ove the internet. One crucial factor with Web-based PR work is that it should match any campaign in print or other traditional media. This will ensure that consumers are not confused with mixed messages.

The main consideration a site owner must remember is that any effort to promote the business and increase traffic without incurring significant costs only requires creativity and the willingness to try simple ideas that already work. However, any approach adopted must not pull target consumers away from the company's product or service.

Using Traffic Exchanges For Maximum Results

Using Traffic Exchanges For Maximum Results
By Frank Tocco

Traffic exchanges are a fantastic resource for generating free website traffic if you know how to use them properly. Most people wrongly assume that putting their affiliate URL on a traffic exchange and surfing for credits so their site gets seen is all they have to do. Then magically hits will appear to their site and sales will start to roll in.

Actually, like most things, there’s a wrong way and a right way to use traffic exchanges for maximum results. Below are some examples on how to properly make use of the traffic exchanges.

First thing to do is to get a URL rotator. These allow you to combine multiple URL’s from your different programs into one single URL. This single URL is the one you’ll be using to promote on the exchanges. Adding your single URL to multiple exchanges makes it easier to keep track of. If you want to make changes in the programs you promote later, you can add or remove the URL’s in the rotator and not the exchange itself.

There are many free places to get a rotator on the web and some of the exchanges offer free rotators as well.

Once you have your rotator set up, you can now join the traffic exchanges and add your new URL to their sites. Joining the ones with the most active members will expose your site to more people, so look on the exchange site for stats about the site. Specifically, look for how many active members the site has. The more members the better.

Always track your results on each traffic exchange. This is most important. Make sure the system you’re using has the ability to track not only click-thru rates, but sign ups and sales as well. This way you’ll know if the traffic source is truly getting results.

It may seem like a lot of work to track every click, sign up and sale on every individual traffic exchange, but consider this. If you’re spending an hour a day surfing for credits and get no clicks from one exchange while getting fifty from another, wouldn’t you like to know that information so you could spend more time with the better of the two? Of course you would! How would you know this information if you didn’t track it? You wouldn’t.

You would be amazed how many people still do not track everything. This one piece of information you would have discovered, if you tracked your business, could save or make you lot’s of money. So track.

Make sure you’re making full use of each benefit that each exchange offers. That does not mean you have to pay to upgrade on all of them. Just make sure you add your banners, text ads and start referring people to join in your downline.

Using a browser that allows you to open multiple pages so you can surf more than one traffic exchange at the same time is mandatory if you’re manually surfing for credits. This way, while waiting for the timer to run to earn your credits, you can open another page in your browser that you’ve pre-loaded with another start page of the next traffic exchange that you’re surfing and click to earn credits there. Continue with next one and the next one until you return to the first one you opened. By that time the timer has reached zero and it should be ready to start again. You can earn credits on multiple traffic exchanges at the same time this way and earn credits faster. Be sure to teach your downline the same thing so you’ll both earn credits faster.

The biggest mistake people make on traffic exchanges is promoting their main program without a way to capture the visitors contact information.

Imagine a traffic exchange as a meeting place online where everybody there wants something from you, like to join their program or buy their product. Now imagine that you are there in that crowd, but you are giving something away for free. Something that crowd needs and all you are asking for is a place to send it to them. Do you think you would stand out in that crowd? Yes, you would. People would line up for you. So instead of promoting your program or product to a person viewing your site, who will either take it or leave it, try giving them something they want for nothing other than a place to send it to them. For only their email address and name. Then make good on your end and give it to them, free.

I’m often asked, “How can you make money giving things away for free”? Good question. The answer is you don’t. You make money by giving something of value to those that value what you’re giving. Giving something of value first, builds trust and will build a list of people interested in what you have to offer.

Do you know how valuable that list is? Immeasurable! In time that list will join your programs, buy your product, build your downline, refer business to you and keep being your best, loyal customers for years. All because you gave them something of value to them first and consistently kept your promise to them. You can find all kinds of things to give online that cost you nothing!

In exchange for your free gift of valuable information the visitor will give you their name and email address. This contact information is the gold you are looking for. Behind that name and email address is a person. Building a relationship with that person, if done right, could be very profitable. They will come to trust you and look to you for advise and they will buy from you too, once they get to know you.

Now imagine you’ve been doing this consistently for awhile now and you’ve collected a list of two thousand names of people that have been receiving your emails over the last few months and some of them have joined your programs. Some have emailed you back and even talked with you on the phone. They have questions. They are looking for solutions to their problems. They are beginning to feel like they know you. You have a whole list of people asking you to solve a problem for them. Can you see how much more valuable that is then just getting a few sales or sign ups months ago when they just saw your site on a traffic exchange?

Can you see how much easier it is to have people looking to you to solve their problems then to try to chase after people to sell them your program? You would know exactly what to offer them because they would tell you exactly what they want.

So use the traffic exchanges wisely by always promoting a capture page and offering a free gift in exchange for their contact information. There will be time enough later to make a sale. Build trust and value first and keep a customer for life.

Develop The Winning Entrepreneur Mindset

Develop The Winning Entrepreneur Mindset

Ken's Blog

People are so impatient nowadays. Fast, faster, fastest... instant gratification is the name of the game. They want overnight success ("before breakfast" preferably!). But that is simply not part of building a business from scratch. A real business takes time and effort.

Yes, even online ones. So many Netrepreneurs somehow think that the Internet suspends fundamental laws of the business world. While building a business online does involve less risk (you don't have to mortgage your house!), it still takes real "sweat equity" to build a business that generates long-term, evergrowing profits.

Elad Shippony, a successful SBIer, says it so well.
Even seasoned business people succumb to "the lure of the speed of the Web"...
I had an interesting conversation with a friend, a successful Montreal real estate developer, the other day. She wanted to start a site that would make her company the "Montreal real estate development" epicenter, connecting international investors with local developers.

Great idea. Tight niche. Winnable. High Return On Investment monetization models.

"So Ken, how long would it take?"

"About 3 months to start seeing some traffic, 6 months to be growing solidly, and you'd be well known in a year.

In 18 months, you would absolutely own that space.

You would be the "go-to" person for Montreal developers to sell their projects internationally, and vice-versa you would also be the entry door for international investors looking for strong opportunities in Montreal."

Her reply? "That long???"

"Well, maybe faster if you put 20 hours per week into it, but let me ask you something. Consider the last real estate development you did..."

"How much money did you make while looking for a property, finding it, optioning it, clearing all the legals, and then closing on it?"

She answered... "Nothing, of course."
"It cost you time and money, right? And how much did you make when you broke ground and dug the hole?"

"Uh, it actually cost us quite a bit."

"And did you make a lot while pouring cement and building the structure?"
Silence.

"And how much money did you make while doing all the finishing work?"
Chuckles.

"How about while advertising and promoting, yet all you could collect was deposits?"

She answered, laughing... "OK, OK, OK... I get it. Actually, we're 3 years in and we're finally at break-even, Ken. And when we sell the final units, we make our money."

"Yes, and then you have to start all over, with no more money to be made from that development. Your Web site, however, will keep on earning and growing and earning some more.

It's a brilliant concept, but the basic laws of business still apply to the Internet, albeit with far less financial risk. You have to invest to build the foundation for future rewards."

Bottom line?

Owning and building a business, whether it's online or offline, takes work, especially in the first few months. Develop what I call "The Winning Entrepreneur Mindset"...

Realize that you invest time (at less than minimum wage) and energy upfront now to build what will be a thriving business that yields long-term, ever-growing dividends later. You are not a 9 to 5 employee, sitting in your safe little cubicle, earning your safe little paycheck (although you can keep that job while building your online business).

You will make as much money as you deserve, through the sum of all your good decisions and hard work. The harder and better you work, the sooner will your Web business yield profits. Long-term profits that grow steadily and that ultimately enable you to quit that day-job and earn you more "per hour" than you could have dreamed.

Be a tortoise-entrepreneur...
"Slow and steady" wins the race.

Sticky Sales Letters - Discover How To Create Extremely Responsive Sales Copy

Sticky Sales Letters - Discover How To Create Extremely Responsive Sales Copy

By Frank Tocco

Sales letters are one piece of advertising that you must master to effectively market online. Writing sales letters creates the foundational piece for all your advertising. You will eventually adapt components of this letter to use in other advertising and in other formats.
Your sales letter should contain some element of each of the following:

Headline.

Your headline is the ad for your ad. Your headline must scream, “This letter is worth your time!” John Caples, who some consider the best copywriter ever ( that’s why the highest award a copywriter can win is called a Caples Award ) said this about headlines:

I spend hours on headlines; days if necessary. And when I get a good headline, I know that my task is nearly finished. Writing the copy can usually be done in a short time. And that advertisement will be a good one, that is, if the headline is really a “stopper.”

You must have a good story and a compelling offer in your body copy, but without a good headline, you don’t stand a chance. Here are my favorite three headline starters:

Ask a compelling question: “Do you know why…”

State your offer: “Free report reveals 101 ways to…”

Identify the target: “Network marketers find that…”

State the problem. Let the reader know upfront that you realize the problem they have and you understand the frustrations they are going through. Stir up the problem. Draw a picture of what this problem is likely costing them in terms of money, time, frustration or status. Paint a hopeful future. Begin to reveal what life could be like or what it is like for some others like them.

Outline a solution. Show them that you have an idea how they can get relief. Layer on the benefits of your solution.

Answer objections. Address the objections that you know your prospects have posted in the past. Make an offer. Offer your free report, CD, workshop or other free or low-cost information product.

Create a call to action. Tell them why and how they should contact you to get this offer.
PS. Always end with a PS. Some people call this the second headline because after the headline, this is the most read part of a letter. Make sure that you restate your offer or chief benefit in a PS.

How to get you letter written. Here are my suggestions:
Outline your letter using this formula.
Write a rough draft in one sitting.
Leave your letter alone for one day.
Edit your letter for impact.
Let a professional proof your letters for errors.
Edit one final time for passion.

Here’s what I’ve found. Writing creates ideas. It’s rarely the other way around. Many times I have no idea what I am going to write, but once I start ideas just happen. What comes about is often far greater than anything I could have thought and then transferred to paper or screen.
Writing helps you have something to say. The more you write, the better you will sell. Writing helps you listen more actively.

Create a swipe file. This is just a file of letters and offers you receive and hang on to for ideas of what works and what doesn’t work. Three great sources are Nightingale Conant, Gunthy Renker, and Bottom Line Publications.

Tell them why. If you are making a great offer in your copy, tell reader why you are making it. Don’t assume they know. Tell them why you started you business, why you hope they will fall in love with your products, why you are having a special sale, and why they should buy from you now.

Write as you talk. This one always drives the English major readers crazy, but your sales copy is meant to be a form of conversation with the reader. Say what you believe, how you believe it and you will connect with your reader. Few things sound less sincere than when you try to be or sound like a really smart marketing person.

Use sub headlines in your copy. Some readers will pour over your copy word for word; others will scan and jump to visual clues. Sub headlines that emphasize key logical points will help readers scan your letter.

Use quotes. Quotes, either from you or a testimonial, add another voice to your copy and allows for the conversation you are trying to start with the reader. Use active voice. I’m not trying to contradict “write as you talk,” but active verbs can make your copy stronger. Have someone edit your copy looking specifically to change passive verbs to active ones. You will be amazed how this little edit can add punch.

Passive: “Just call day or night and your application will be picked up by our representative.”
Active: “Just call day or night and our representative will pick up your application.”

Tell stories. People love stories. Often even complicated ideas can be made simple through the use of a story. Talk about how your clients use your products or services. Talk about the day you realized there was a need for what you offer.

Now that you have written your sales letter, and you’re happy with it, you should pretest it for readability. Here’s a few tips to get you started. Read your letter out loud to get a feel for how it sounds. Round up a twelve-year-old or two and see if they understood what you are offering. Show a copy to some of your best clients or prospects and ask for their input.

Follow these guidelines and you will soon be writing sure-fire sales letters that will attract very qualified prospect and clients and copy that will become the basis for all your online marketing campaigns.

Surf More Than One Traffic Exchange At The Same Time

Generate Free Website Traffic For Years To Come

Generate Free Website Traffic For Years To Come

By Frank Tocco

You have a web site that looks nice and it’s packed with lots of good information about your business, your products, your services.

But you realize you’re not it’s not visible on the Web--traffic to the site is minimal, and what traffic you have is not producing a real result.

Before you go out and spend a fortune on a graphics designer to update your site or an SEO firm to analize your HTML code, let’s start simple.

“DON’T MAKE ME THINK”
Its sage advice from Steve Krug’s book of the same title, especially when you are reminded the average time spent by a new visitor at a web site is typically less then 30 seconds. People like doing business with others who consistently show common sense making it easy to do business with them.

“ASK FOR WHAT YOU WANT”
Let your first-time visitors know what you want. If your most-wanted results from search engine traffic is to call you--which is typical of a service-oriented site--ask them to call you. Yes, really ask for what you want rather than beating around the bush and making the visitor wander around the site aimlessly.

“BE CLEAR ABOUT HOW TO CONTACT YOU”
Give the visitor specific information as to when you are available. For example, Monday through Friday, 12 P.M. to 6 P.M. and be sure to include your time zone.
Make all your contact information visible, especially on your homepage. Find a way in your page design to put all this information towards the top of the page, not the very bottom.

“BE CREATIVE AND KEEP SELLING EVERYWHERE”
Remember to make your “Contact Us” or “About Us” page a selling opportunity. It’s very likely someone will find you in the search engines and all they get is a contact page with a phone number and address. Make sure you’ve included some kind of selling statement about your product and services--something unique that catches their attention. Draw then into your site. Yes, this holds true for all your pages.

“GIVE A GIFT---MAKE IT EASY”
Offer something of real value to your first-time visitors. Make it easy for them to get it instead of having to fill out 15 fields of red-asterisk-dotted required fields.
Offer something for free that requires nothing from the user. Then step into something of more value that requires only a name and an e-mail address.
You’ll end up with a lot more traffic, e-mail, and conversions over time, because people will come back to give back.

Ask for what you want. Tell who you are and how to get a hold of you and give a gift. You can do this every day in all your emails so as to drive traffic to your site.
Okay, you know this, but are you doing it---all the time?

Did you know that Yahoo grew into a huge world-wide business and it all got started from a sigfile at the bottom of your e-mail?

You can do the same thing.Good luck!

Cold Market – Gold Market!

Cold Market – Gold Market!

A top income earner in Network Marketing once told me to stop being afraid of the Cold Market and start looking at it as my Gold Market.

What he meant by that is this –

In most organizations, the big hitters under you do not come from people that you know, they come from people that you meet as you build your business.

And, those heavy hitters come from all different sources.

First, you must know this – in Network Marketing, nothing works, and everything works.

What? I hear you saying! Here is what that means….

If you ask 10 people in Network Marketing how to sponsor reps and build a business, you will get all different answers.

Does running advertisements work? Some say yes, some say no. The real answer, however, is that advertising DOES work. You may have to advertise for a while, however, before you recoup your investment.

There are zero cost, low cost and higher cost ways of building your business. We’ll talk about several in each category.

In one well known company, the number two income earners came in off of an ad. The guy that ran the ad, and consequently sponsored the number two income earners is now a top 5 income earner himself. Largely, thanks to the efforts of the number 2 earners.

If you ask either of them if advertising works, they will both tell you YES! No surprise there. But, the ads were running for almost a year and he was diligently driving an hour and a half to meet with people who no-showed him, decided not to do the business, got in and did nothing, etc., before he sponsored the hot shots.

Was it worth it? I think he will tell you it was. He’s a millionaire today.

I believe the secret to advertising is to know that you are going to have to try it for a while before you’ll get results. Advertising statistics tell us that it takes an average of 7-9 times of seeing an ad before we are compelled to act on it.

If you stop advertising after 1 run, you’ll never know what the true results could have been. So, if you are going to run ads, be prepared to invest some money into the program. Free type and Penny Saver type papers usually yield more unqualified prospects. By this, I mean prospects that do not have the initial start up money, or any money to put toward building their business. So, be aware of where you are running ads.

That brings up another point I wanted to make. And, remember, these are just techniques and ideas that I use in building my business! There is more than one way to skin a cat, however! (No offense meant to cat owners/lovers)

When I am working in the cold market, I qualify people very extensively. After getting a babysitter, scheduling 2 to 3 hours out of my day and driving miles in the Arizona Heat, I want to know that the person I am meeting is qualified. I’m tired of being stood up, meeting with people who are negative about MLM and people who do not have the initial start up fee.

I make sure everyone I meet with understand that it is Network Marketing, knows that there is a cost associated with starting their business and have a pretty good idea of what we do and how we do it.

A low cost way of reaching the cold market is through business networking events held in your area through your local chamber of commerce or other business groups. I have worked this particular method for a while and it has a lot of great benefits. It identifies you as a business professional. It raises the integrity of the industry and it really puts you in front of some go-getters in your community!

Also, morning and lunch leads groups are great for getting customers and sponsoring business builders!

Check with your local chamber of commerce, or look in the business section of your local newspaper for details.

Finally, a few ideas for free or very inexpensive ways of reaching the cold market is through flyers and sizzle cards.

Put up flyers in phone booths, bulletin boards, hand them out around malls and other busy areas where people congregate, etc.

Sizzle cards are generic business cards that contain a catch phrase and a phone number. These are designed to create curiosity about your business.

The phrase may say something like – Would you like to work from home, be your own boss and create a dream lifestyle? Call 1-888-XXX-XXXX.

Or, Get out of the corporate rat race, call 1-888-XXX-XXXX.

A key here is to use an 800 number, if possible and have them dial into a 2 or 3 minute recorded message. In fact, this is the way to handle it with advertising too!

You need to be in control when you call the person! So you want them to leave a name, number and time to call back!
